CLEANED AND PROBLEM COINS

Most of the coins that are collected have been cared for in one fashion or another. But there are some coins, unfortunately, that had less that perfect care, either from cleaning or some other form of abuse. Doran Coins occasionally has such coins from either lots, aquisitions, or "take all or none" situations. Coins that are cleaned or damaged are noted with a letter after the grade assigned. For example, one coin has a grade of XF-P. XF means Extra Fine, and the letter P indicates that the coin has a problem (either old cleaning, corrosion, pitting, dings, PVC damage, or scratches). Another coin has the grade of AU-C. It is Almost Uncirculated, but has been cleaned. The purpose of the letter after the grade is so that you, the collector, are informed of what is wrong with the coin if such. If you need to know what exactly the problem is, please do not hesitate to send an e-mail.
