I've always been interested in art and even as a young child noticed the positive
reactions people had to my drawings. I remember my second grade teacher
liking a portrait I drew of my family so much that she insisted I show it to every
classroom in the school. In junior high I became known for drawing portraits
of rock stars and in spite of my introverted ways was voted "Leonardo da
Vinci" in the school yearbook. In addition to my love of portrait drawing,
I was also interested in lettering and design and while still a teenager, won
first place in several business sponsored poster design contests. As an
adult I've worked in a variety of art fields including outdoor advertising and
apparel design, and have had my logo and calligraphy work published in several
illustrated magazines. Below are a few examples of my eariler works-- |

At the present time I am working in a pop art style, painting with bold color and
shapes. I use acrylic on canvas (there is no silk-screening involved).
