Benjamin Milks
Benjamin Milks died at the home of his son T. F. Milks, five miles northwest of town, Sunday, March 17. Mr. Milks suffered an attack of paralysis a short time ago which resulted in his death. Deceased was born in New York, and at the time of his death was 65 years of age. He is survived by his wife, two sons and one daughter. The funeral was held Thursday, interment in Fairbank cemetery.

Thomas B. Milks Dies
Thomas B. Milks, 60, 320 11th St E, Waterloo sales man, died at 1:30p.m. Friday at St. Francis hospital of a heart ailment. He had been a patient there since January 21. The widow, Mrs. Minnie Milks survives. He was a former Fairbank resident and well know here. Burial will be in the Fairbank cemetery.

Thomas B. Milks Dies
Funeral services for Thomas B. Milks, 59, 320 11th St. E, Waterloo, who died at 1:30p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, at St. Francis hospital, of heart disease, was at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Kistner chapel, Rev. Mark Strockley, pastor of Free Methodist church officiating. Burial was in the Fairbank cemetery. Thomas B. Milks, son of Benjamin and Orinda Milks was born April 26, 1876, in Lester township, Black Hawk county. Surviving besides his widow Minnie Milks, are four sons, Verne and Russell, of Fairbank, and Don and Victor at home, one daughter, Lottie, at home, 14 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one brother, B. W. Milks, Alberta, Canada, and four sisters, Mrs. Wm. Bumpus, Spokane, Wash; Mrs. Frank Higgins, Lynch, Nebraska; Mrs. Joseph Hansen, West Union, and Mrs. Leila Oxart, Saco, Montana. Five children preceded him death. mr. Milks was a former Fairbank resident and well known here.

Thelma Brown
Thelma Brown, daughter of Charles and Jessie Miller Milks, was born October 25, 1922, in Buchanan Co. She was united in marriage to Lyle Brown on Nov. 17, 1939, at Dunkerton. They lived around the Jesup area most of their lives. Mrs. Brown died Friday, Dec. 23, 1983, at Mercy hospital in Oelwein at the age of 61. Survivors include five sons, Dale Brown, of Glendale, AZ; Larry, of Banning, CA; Dennis, of Hapton; Corydon of New York, NY; Richard, of Oelwein; two daughters, Mary (Mrs. Leonard) Ohl, of Hazleton; Becky Mrs. Mike) Walshire, and two brothers, Ben Milks and Charles Milks, of Waterloo; and eleven grandchildren. she was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lyle in February, 1963, two sisters and one brother.
Funeral services were December 29, 1983 at 1:00 p.m. at Parker Funeral Home in Jesup. Clergy was Ted Georgilakis of Independence. burial was in Cedar Crest Cemetery in Jesup. Organist was Marian Gates. Parker Funeral home of Jesup was in charge of arrangements.

Hazelton..Services for Thelma Brown, 61, who died Friday (Dec. 23) at Mercy Hospital in Oelwein of a long illness, will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Parker Funeral Home in Jesup; burial in Cedar Crest Cemetery at Jesup; survived by five sons, Dale of Glendale, AZ; Larry, of Banning, CA; Dennis of Hampton; Corydon, of New York, NY; and Richard, of Oelwein; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Ohl of Hazleton and Mrs. Becky Walshire of Morley; three sisters, Velma Fink of Fairbank; Zelma Tan of Dunkerton and Doris Weber of Waterloo; two brothers, Ben Milks and Charles Milks, whereabouts unavailable; and 11 grandchildren; friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Patricia Milkes, born June 8, 1940, died Tuesday, June 11, 1940, at People's Hospital. Burial at Fairbank. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Milkes, Littleton.

Sharon E. Mohrman
Sharon E. Mohrman, 51, of 4744 E. Dunkerton Rd, died Friday, Oct. 25, at her home of cancer. She was born Aug. 17, 1940 in Fayette, daughter of Edward and Zelma Milks Tann. she married Allen Kemp Sept. 1956, at Nashua. they were later divorced. she married Walter L. Mohrman Sept. 20, 1976, in Wheat Ridge, CO. She had been employed as a licensed practical nurse at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo for 17 years. Survivors include her husband, two daughters, Denise Smith and Mary Albright, both of Waterloo; one grandson, Danny Faircloth, who lives with his grandparents; six other grandchildren; four brothers, Stanley Tann, of LaPorte City; Gary Tann, Gaylen Tann and Bennie Owen, all of Waterloo; and three sisters, Bonnie Brown, of Waterloo; Patricia Gardner, of Lakewood, CO, and Linda Handy, of Bondurant. She was preceded in death by one daughter Debra Faircloth, and by here parents. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Bethel Presbyterian church, with burial in Garden of Memories cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9p.m. Monday at Chapel of Memories West and Tuesday morning at the church for one hour before services. Memorials may be directed to the church.
