So...You wanna know what this Digimon stuff is, eh? (OR....you're a DG fan who wants to here what other people say about it and laugh at me...which is fine, I always read these things on the sites of other people too...). OK, Digimon is a anime show about this bunch of kids, and their adventures in the Digital World. In the first season, it started with 5 boys and 2 girls who get stuck in a strange place (the Digiworld). Eventually, they find out that the reason that they're there is because they're the DigiDestined, who are meant to save the Digital World from the darkness that threatens it. To do that, they are each assigned a Digimon partner, who protects them from harm.

Now, the thing to remember about Digimon is; IT ISN'T AS PATHETIC AS IT SOUNDS. There are complications, there are internal battles, there are things they can't do, there is progression, there is character developement, there is a PLOT. A pretty good plot, too. Oh yeah, and there's a body-count (though it's kinda hard to find, since they side-step the topic...it's still there, though).

Season 2 (or 02) takes place 4 years after the events of season 1. There's a new set of DigiDestined (actually, it's three new DigiDestined, plus the 2 youngest of the 01 DigiDestined), a new enemy, and a new set of rules. For example, the kids can now travel to and from the Digiworld freely via "ports". Of course, if they can't find a port, they can't go anywhere, so they can't exactly travel freely, but relatively freely.
