Jonathan Alden was born circa 1632. He was the son of John Alden and Priscilla Mullins. Jonathan Alden married Abigail Hallett on 10 December 1672 at Duxbury, Plymouth Colony; Duxbury. Jonathan Alden died on 14 February 1697 at Duxbury, Plymouth Colony; "in the 65 year of his age." He was buried; Tombstone date 14 Feb.,1697. He was Administrator 8 March, 1697.

Abigail Hallett was posssible ancestors Andrew Hallett, Jr. On "Able to bear arms", Sandwich, 1643. Her married name was Alden. She was born in 1644. She married Jonathan Alden, son of John Alden and Priscilla Mullins, on 10 December 1672 at Duxbury, Plymouth Colony; Duxbury. Abigail Hallett died in 1725; Duxbury.

Robert Hicks married Elizabeth Morgan in 1610 at England; TGMB says no proof of her. Robert Hicks immigrated on Fortune in 1621. He died on 24 May 1647 at Plymouth, MA, USA; based on inventory date.

1. Robert, born 1580 he married first Elizabeth Morgan, and second Margaret Winslow. The children of the first marriage were: Thomas and John; and of the second were Samuel, Ephraim, Lydia, Phebe, Elizabeth, and Daniel.
   
   In 1621, Robert Hicks left his home in Southwark, County Surrey, England, and
   came to the Plymouth Colony in the ship "Fortune" Nov 11 1621. He was listed as a leather dresser. He lived as a substantial citizen of the Puritan Colony. This was the 2nd body of Puritans following the Mayflower. Source: The Hicks Family, The American Genealogical Research Instute, Arlington VI. Note Source: Broderbund WFT Vol. 21 Tree # 139. His wife, Margaret, with their children, joined him two years later, coming in the ship "Ann" in 1622, she was the sister of the Winslow brothers who came in the :Mayflower". Robert Hicks resided in Plymourth Colony for 26 years, sharing in the division of cattle in 1627. Source: Automated Archives, Salt Lake City, UT CD-Rom. Note Source: Broderbund WFT Vol. 19 Tree # 1100. He was made a freeman in 1633, and died March 24, 1647. Note: Another of our ancestors sailed aboard the " Fortune" in the very same year to the same destination. William Symons also sailed from England to the Plymouth in 1621. I wonder if they met aboard ship?
   
   Robert Hicks Robert was born in England and lived in Bermondsey and Southwark in County Surrey, England. Surrey is the county located just southwest of London. He was a fellmonger or leather maker. The term especially applies to sheep skins. Normally Robert would pull 300 skins a week but sometimes he could do 600 to 700 skins. There seems to be some question about his wife (wives). Some list his first wife as Elizabeth Morgan who he married about 1596. They had four children. He second married Margaret about 1610 and they had five children. Some identify her as Margaret Winslow step-sister of govenor Edward Winslow. Robert came to Plymouth Colony in 1621 aboard the Fortune. Margaret Winslow followed two years later on the Anne. Robert had his will written for him on May 28, 1645 and died two years later on May 24, 1647. His will in part says;
   
   "In the name of God Amen I Robert hicks of Plymouth this xxviiith day of may Anno dm 1645 being full of Infermities of body and conssidering the brevity of this mortall life but of very good and perfecte memory doe ordaine and make this my last will and Testament in maner and forme foloing first I give and bequeathe my soule to Almighty god in certaine hope and assurance of a Joyfull Reseurection and my body to bee buried in decent maner And as concerning all my wordly goods and estate my mind and will is as foloweth first I give and bequath unto my soon Ephraim all yt my dwelling house barn and buildings with the gardins therunto belonging sittuate in plymouth aforsaid; ... my executrix heerafter named shall have and Enjoy three Romes in the sd house during her life shee keeping her selfe unmarried viz the hall and chamber over and seller underneath : and allso yt my soon Ephraim shall pay her the thirds of the sd lands during her life and widdowhood : and lickwise shee shall Enjoy the garden next unto the watter side with the sd Romes as foresaid ... and fifty [acres] to John watson there [Seawams or Secunck] allso ... I doe ordayne and make Margerett my loveing wife the sole Executrix of this my last will and Testament ..."Robert's estate came to 39 pounds and 13 shillings outside of his real estate which amounted to over 300 acres. His widow lived on another 19 years dying between July 8, 1665 when she wrote her will and March 6, 1665/66 when it was exhibited.
