1. James Lakin served as a drummer at the Lexington Alarm under Capt. John
   Nutting. He was born in Pepperill, where he died.

   Capt. James Hosley's company, Col. Jonathan Reed's regiment of minute men. He
   was born in Groton; died in Pepperell.
