RACING LINE

This is a game I just thought up while laying around one day, it will probably be made in MMF3D, so, not for a long time yet then. The basic idea is that you progress from 1900 to 2100 as sucessive generations of a family, who are all racing drivers. The basic idea of the game is to get to the top, and stay there XD. While along the way taking in all the advancements in car technology, from inflated tyres, to electronic systems, to fibreglass and streamlining, up to computerised systems, turbine engines, new efficient fuels, and even the dissaperance of wheels altogether. I'll probably make all the cars, drivers, tracks and sponsors fictional, because I can. But some things will bear a resemblance to real-life things, especially cars

20's- Aristrocrats with more money than sense, cobbling together experimental cars from whatever they can get, the racing in these early days may seem slow, but it was probably more dangerous than ever

50's- Oh dear, engines have advanced a bit faster than materials, steering and brakes, half the battle will be keeping these monsters pointed in the right direction XD

70's- Sponsorship has started to appear as racing becomes big business, glass fibre and turbocharged engines mean speeds have greatly increased, and you can race all around the world

90's- Computerised systems and physics means scientists and IT technicians are just as involved as drivers and mechanics at this stage, tougher rules are introduced so that cars are all pretty much the same now

20's- New racing circuits have appeared all over the planet, and old ones have been changed as the racing reaches almost 300mph. New technologies like lighter engines and tougher materials means that racing has become exciting again

50's- Turbine engines, developed in the 1980's for military helicopters come to racing, and the speeds go through the roof, the cars now sound more like jets

70's- Anti gravity hover engines means that regulations about tyres can now go out of the window. Still these frictionless cars don’t turn as well, so the world's circuits are once again redesigned, with wider corners, long straights and even some jumps

90's- The advent of the Ion engine means that the cars can now travel faster than sound with ease, and they start to look more like planes than cars. Also circuits have opened up on the moon and mars, meaning 'world chapionship' no longer applies
