The Sax Maniacs are a five piece band that performs regularly around the Detroit area performing classic rock, funk, soul, oldies and new covers from current artists. Our style is a cross of beatnik type super cool SAX numbers like Peter Gun, Honky Tonk and Summertime to classic rock and Motown hits like Chain of Fools, Mustang Sally, Shotgun and lots of James Brown. We incorporate the swinging sound of the SAX with a jumping rhythm section and Stevie Ray/Jimmi Hendrix type guitar provided by local guitar hero, Steve Dansby. Our vocalist, Ellen Giacobbi, former member of BLUE ROSE, is soooooo dynamic and is a show all by herself. Jon Martin another BLUE ROSE alumni, provides incredible bottom drive that helps Joe Bruglio on the TAMA drums bring the beat to new heights of excitement.

Dave Daniele has performed with the likes of The Dittiles, Joseyln B & The Detroit Street Players, Dick The Bruzier Band and many other ultra polished pro bands, is the self proclaimed King Of The SAX and is also a pretty neat keybordist. Dave also sings tunes by James Brown, Wilson Pickett and The Doors.
