Wow that's nice. But why?

Alrighty. This is the first editorial I write for this site, and I have a good reason too.
First of all, I want to thank "Anonymous" for posting his/her comment on the guestbook. It was what inspired me to write this.
Tonight...errr...Last night I babysitted a girl for 4 hours, we talked a bit, and half the time she played computer games. She eventually wanted to go downstairs to check her email and after she was done I decided to go and check mine too. I read the email I got, but then I had a sudden urge to check my guestbook. I believe I must have ESP or something, because someone recently signed my guestbook. (I get like a new message from there every other week, so I don't really check the book too much.)
"How can you hate Trunks you psyco bitch! Those reasons are the worst I have EVER seen and can come up with a rebuttal for EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. period. "
The girl who I was babysitting saw the message too. "Wow," she said, "That's um..." "I know," I said. "But don't worry about it." No, this is not about ruining the child's innocence. I know she knows this word, she is almost twelve. These days three-year-olds already know the finger (Sadly). Besides, she wasn't shocked at the bad word, but the entire message. She asked me if the person even knew me. I said no, then she asked why someone would say that to me. That's what I would like to know.
The poster gave his/her reason. It's because I "Hated Trunks" and the Anti-Trunks. So first I am just going to respond to the message. This is also for the everyone who doesn't know that Anti-Trunks is a gag. Click here for the response
You're a bitch, you're gay, you're mother wears combat boots. Kay. Exactly what does this tell me? You don't like someone you don't know, and you even don't bother to put a reason for it. I don't get a lot of hate mail or messages (Not that I am bragging, because I don't get much email from visitors in total. Hell, the only way I can tell if I get any visitors at all is from looking at the counter stats. Yep, when it comes to getting email from visitors, my mailbox is dead as my fish when they ran out of water to swim in.) Hey, at least a person like Anonymous gave a reason for calling me a bitch. (Go Anonymous!) Why am I cheering, because I actually know WHY this person was angry at me. There was even a guy who called me a fag for having a Spanish webpage title on a Japanese site. He wasn't even afraid to give me his email address and I replied.
Yes, I don't really get offended by flames and hate mail. I don't know why, I just never did take it personally since I don't actually know the people. I do however, get a warm fuzziness inside whenever someone wants to submit something to me or says they like my site. It just makes me feel so "shpeshial". ^-^ But then again, I have a bad habit of being all lovey dubby and start going "Hey. Thanks. I want to be your friend now. " -_-' I not a social butterfly though; I am actually very shy about talking to people I don't know on the net, unless it's on an MB full of people I know.
Anyways, the thing I am trying to say is that if you are dissatisfied with the site and choose to put your anger out on me, please give a reason why. That way I can actually maybe improve from my mistakes, or give a reason why something on my site is the way it is. Cussing and plain insults really don't do any effect as you think they would. I ignore them, and personally I don't get offended by something that has no reason to back it up. It's just stupid. Laying off the profanities actually makes anything you say more intelligent and the person who reads you're message will actually have more respect for you.
Don't think it's true? Let's take a test shall we?
You motherfucker! You're bios suck because they don't give enough info for me to even get any fucking idea what the character exactly fucking does in the series! You ugly fag, your links are a bunch of shit too. Who would link to a bitch like Googlia anyway? He's steals from everybody!
Your bios aren't the best because they don't give enough info for me to even get any idea exactly what the character does in the series. Your links aren't good either. Who would link to someone like Googlia anyway? He steals from everybody!
This has more cuss words than what I have received, but you can see that the intelligence rose a bit when the cuss words were taken out or replaced with something a bit more polite.
Yes, the message was still rude, but I know I would most likely reply to the latter rather than the first one. (Note: I am not saying people who cuss in messages are stupid, but in some situations the intelligence of a message can be greater when there is less profanity.)
Now to put this message in a more polite way.
Hi,
My name is _____, I have read your bios and I noticed that they were vague in the areas with what the character does in the series. I think that it might help many visitors, who don't know anything about the characters, have better knowledge of the character if the bios were more detailed. I have also noticed that your links page contains some sites that are considered to be pirated sites. Googlia happens to be a webmaster who has stolen from everybody. Having links to those kind of sites might actually ruin the reputation of your own site. A links page is actually more like links to pages that meet your expectations of a good site. These are just some suggestions that I personally think will help some of the visitors. You have a great site and I love how you choose to have original content rather than just stealing everything.
Yea, it much longer than the other too, but it can't be really offending can it? It actually helps to greet or introduce yourself first, it is the first sign of friendly terms. If you are suggesting, give a reason why. If you don't agree with something, give a reason why. At the end of suggesting something, I like to compliment something that I liked about the site. To me it shows that I enjoyed the site, and I went out of my way to suggest something that might make it better for the visitors. Besides, if you wrote just the suggestions and nothing good about the site it just seems like you felt everything was wrong with it (IMO). I also think it's a good way to end an email, but I am a lunatic, so do whatever you feel like.
No, you don't have to be all mannerly. Just as long as you be polite and give a reason for something. (I never write an email like above.)
Now let's email in my type of talk! Hee. Hee.
Hi!
^_^ Love your site. I like your bios, but I didn't find anything about what the character does in the series. :( I was wondering if you can maybe make them more detailed so visitors will be able to learn about that. Your links page contains some links to Page pirates. I thought you might wanna know that because some people actually judge how original a page is by their links page. I enjoy going to your site whenever I can and I just wanted to suggest some things that could help other people and your site.

Just look at the intelligence dive down in that one! (I'm a ditz!)^_^ I think I could still get a reply from that. It's still polite, it's helpful, it's not stupid, and it gives a reason!
