1988 Ford Mustang GT
(pics coming soon)
My second Mustang and current daily
driver is a 1988 GT. It is basically stock with high miles, but starts
every day and takes all kinds of abuse like a champ. I have a theory
that the Fox-bodied Mustangs were built with people like me in mind.
The good, the bad, and the ugly:
-
bought for $1600 with a messed up driver
side door and front bumper and sans radio
-
replaced door (new door is still primered)
and the front bumper is worse
-
had to replace all 4 American Racing
AR-534 16 inch rims b/c one got bent and they are discontinued (if anyone
has an extra one they would like to sell, or would like to buy 3, let me
know)
-
added MSD 6A ignition box (which I
got for free), monster tach, and driveshaft and shifter from previous car
-
added a radio and CD changer which
got stolen. I bought a new head unit, but took it back to spite the
salesman
-
shorty headers and an offroad H-pipe
-
KYB front struts (handles great but
launches badly)
169,000 miles
