Most anybody who watches The WB's hit show 7th heaven, knows who David Gallagher is. However even if your not a fan of 7th heaven or maybe you have never even seen it. Most likely you have seen some of David's work. A few on the big screen in fact. Look Who's Talking Now and Phenomenon which David co-stared in both with John Travolta. David has also been seen in several TV movies and has had many guest spots on various TV shows.
David Began his career at a very young age. He has said that it was more of a way to give his mom something to do. At 18 months he started doing ads for Fisher Price and Hasbro. Later he started doing commercials for Burger King, Fisher Price and Disney. In fact a funny story that David told, was that one time he was doing a commercial for a food product Chicken. Well they had spit buckets for the cast to spit it out, when they had to cut, and do it again. Young David however insisted on finishing his chicken and not spiting it out. Later that day he ended up barfing on his Commercial Dad.
When David was 8 years old he landed his first Feature film staring role, in the 3rd installment of The Look Who's Talking Now trilogy. David Played Mikey and had two famous co-stars John Travolta(Grease) and Kristy Alley (Cheers). Two years later when David was 10, he did his 2nd feature film role, which once again he co-stared with John Travolta, David played Al. In the summer of 01 David Filmed a movie called Little Secrets in which he played David. This movie was released in Aug 02 however had a very limited release and was finale released on DVD and Video in Feb 03
David and his family knew that to further his career, they needed to move to LA, so that's what they did. It was a big risk, but lucky it paid off. As when David was 11, he got the role that would shove him into Hollywood fame and the hearts of Millions of people around the world. That was his role as Simon Camden in The WB's hit show 7th Heaven. David played Simon full time (9mo out of the year) for 7 seasons. After the 7th Season however David was 18 and going to college in the Fall of 2003 at USC Film School. Though it is kind of sad, it is only the beginning of David Gallagher in the show biz world.
David has said that his goals are to become a distinguished movie director (ie Spielberg, Lucas, etc) David hopes to write a screenplay, direct, produce and star in it, and get an Academy award. David is always working on several scripts that he writes by himself or with a few friends In fact him and one of his friends Doug just finished one last Fall 2002 and had sent it to Sony hoping they would like it and pick it up. I have heard no news on this and im sure that if they had picked it up that David would have said something about. However he may just want to keep it quite in till it is guaranteed. However even if this particular script is not picked up by a film company. David has a lot of determination and im sure will keep writing till he gets something that is made and then it will go from there. David also thinks it would be cool to be in a band, maybe put out a few cds, of course The Movie Biz is his number one priority.
In early 2001 David became involved in an independent Film called Coldwater. David was to star as the Main Character Brad and he was also producing as well. The film was suppose to shot the summer of 2002, however was pushed back to Summer of 2003. However more things were pushed back and due to David's schedule he was no longer able to star in or producer the movie. Sad but hey that's the movie biz for ya
David did a short Movie called Ten bucks with the director of Coldwater Sean Michael Beyer. The movie was written and directed by David, it was shot on the set that is used for the 7th heaven Promide set. In Santa Monica Cal in Dec 2002. David also makes a cameo in this short.
