How and why I became a fan of David's
I first became interested and started noticing David near the end of the first season of 7th heaven / Early 2nd season (1997). Simon was and still is my favorite character that has been on 7th heaven. David was also I thought very cute, I did have a bit of crush on him, unlike most crushes I had I never lost interest in him (of course I still find him attractive) I think a lot of it had to do with the fact that he wasn't much younger then me, not even 2 years, I was born in may of 1983 and he was born Feb of 1985, so he was is from my generation so I could related more then say having a crush on some teen celebrity who was 15 when I was say 10
I didn't know much about him in till I got on the internet for the first time which was sometime in 1997, in fact David Gallagher was the first thing I ever looked up on the web. After seeing some of his other works, I realized hey this guy is a really good actor and he is just a kid, yet he truly had a passion for the business even though he was only 12 years old. I had never read anything negative about David it was always positive and from the interviews, I was able to read he seemed like a great guy who hadn't let Hollywood fame blow up his head, like it has done to many child actors of the past
I went to many of the DG sites as often as I could (whenever I could get online), I would even print out interviews / chats so that I could look at other stuff while I had net access and later read them.
How this site came to be?
I had joined some David Gallagher yahoo groups, probably in late 1999 - early 2000 I was such a huge fan that some of the other yahoo group owners suggest that I too should start a group on David, and I wanted too. However at the time I didn't have a computer at my house, and I didn't think it would be fair to make a group and not be able to spend time in it except for times I could log on during school or get to my parents office and get on there.
In March of 2002, I got my computer set up at home, so I started a group knowing that the next month id have net access at home I went to yahoo and started a group on David - DavidrocksthisPlanet , several months later I decide to chance the name to David_Gallagher_Supporters.
In my senior or junior year of high school, I took an html class on web page design and really enjoyed it. In college I took some other classes on it. I had always thought of making a website on David, since by this time there were hardly any sites that were still updated, but didn't get around to doing it till late summer of 2003. Its basically a pretty much a simple layout, I typed all of the code myself with out any html program such as Dreamweaver, Fontpage etc, though I do hope to get one of this programs one day. I even got a new html book that I hope to make many improvements in the future (as well as taking other classes JavaScript etc), however since David is currently in College and isn't really up to anything much I'm not in a huge hurry
In away this is actually my 3rd website I have made on David, my first was made back when I took my html class in high school, I made it with dreamweaver however I never saved it to a disk but the schools computer, sometimes I wish I had put it on disk but oh well. Then the fall of 2002, I made another David page for my html class in College which I did save and have somewhere, the 7th heaven, David bio pages on this one was from that site, it was also in frames
