2001 Figures
The 2000 figures were superb. Although originally scheduled for late 2000, the A.W.E Striker with Pathfinder were not widely distributed until early 2001. The New Striker is as awesome now as it once was upon it's initial release back in 1985. Along the same line, the U.S. was fortunate enough to have the Manimals released in early 2001. You might recall that these were a spin-off from the Star Brigade line (the next step from the "Lunartix Aliens" from 1994). Hasbro planned on releasing the 6 Manimals in 1995, but when the GIJOE line was cancelled in 1994 these figures became all but a myth. Although rumored to have been produced in lots of 10,000 very few original copies of the 6 Manimals actually found their way into private collections. Seven years later, Hasbro reconsidered the Manimal line and decided to release it in 2001. Although they have different paint schemes than the original 6, the figures are virtually the same with similar packaging to the 1994 Star Brigade line. The first three figures are currently available at the KayBee store chain (U.S.)
Also, the "Real American Hero" line continued in 2001, with 8 2-figure packs being released, as well as 5 vehicles with exclusive figures.
