Our Children

This is where I'll fill you in on a little detail about each of our children. When I get some pictures to upload, you'll be able to see them as well!

#1 = She is a very personable 24 year old young woman. I have only spoken to her a couple of times since her father and I have been married. She lives about 45 minutes away, and has a hectic life which makes it quite difficult to stop by. She was raised by her mother, and didn't know her father until the age of about 12. That's when her father got the chance to get to know the daughter he didn't know he had. All things considered, she is a lovely girl.

#2 - This is a fine young man that grew up way too fast. He is 23 years old and a young man any woman would be proud of. He is tall, blond (hair color only!), blue eyes, and very intelligent. I have to give the credit for him doing so well to his father. We separated when #2 was six months old. By the time he was two, I had decided I was not a good mother. I had serious mood swings, and never had the energy to keep up with a 2 year old. I gave up custody to his father. I obviously made the right decision at that time because he is a very well adjusted young man with a beautiful woman that will be by his side forever, and a promising future in law. I can only imagine what his life may have turned out like if I would have tried to raise him myself!

#3 - A beautiful girl that I'm just starting to get to know. She is also 23 years old. This one is the mother of our two handsome grandsons. Our #3 was living at home with her oldest son when I met her father. In fact, our first "date" was her sons birthday! Shortly before we married, she moved out of state to try to work out the differences between her and her husband. I'm not too sure how that is going. I don't think it would be hard to live with a person that possesses the same qualities as #3. She is VERY giving. She is honest, caring, compassionate, and completely selfless. She has given up everything for the sake of her family.

#4 - This young man is quite exceptional. He has had a tough time getting to the point he is at today. Due to circumstances, he was not able to graduate from high school. We all know that in todays job market, it's hard enough to get a decent job without a college degree, let alone no high school diploma! Like I said, He's done pretty well. He works at a national tire store chain (the one with good tires!). He started out as most do, busting tires, and has worked his way up to lead mechanic with a few certifications to back him up. He volunteers for all the training he can get. He is dependable and very honest. Some of the local shops and dealerships are requesting he join their teams. His greatest accomplishment thus far in his life is something neither his father nor myself can stop bragging about. That would be our almost two year old granddaughter!

#5 - This is my 21 year old BLONDE!! She is a wonderfully intelligent young woman that is always looking for a new adventure! She has a refreshing outlook on life and is always fun to talk with. In fact, she's so much fun to talk with, she moved all the way across country to try to shut me up a little! Did it work? Yeah, right! She is the mother of our georgeous 1 1/2 year old granddaughter. I'm sure that in time you will hear enough about this one, you'll feel like you would know her if you ran into her shopping! (And, oh boy, does she like to shop!!!)

#6 - This young man I don't have much information on. You see, when he was eight months old, my then sister-in-law adopted him. They couldn't have children and desperately wanted a son (she has two daughters). I can't say if I was a "good mother" to him. He was well fed, healthy, clean, and got alot of attention. He was my "You've got to be kidding! I'm what?" baby. I was engaged to his father (my first love), when he got orders to go to Korea. We couldn't make the arrangements in time for us to accompany him, so we stayed behind. Two weeks after he left, I found out I was pregnant, and by the time he got the letter informing him of our baby, he had already married a Korean woman. The baby looked like his father, and was a painful reminder of my own ignorance. I did (and do) love the baby and wanted only the best for him. I knew I wasn't giving him all the love he deserved, so I gave him to somebody that could. I saw him when he was about 7 and he was very happy. You could tell he was being raised in a very loving family.
