New Musical Express - 1980/81
The article that started it all. This is the article that Mikey saw in New Musical Express which resulted in him meeting George to form Culture Club!

George @ Street Theatre - 1981
Pictures taken outside Street Theatre, where George worked before working at the Foundry. Both Street Theatre and The Foundry were owned by Peter Small. It's George being... George!

Culture Club live review - 1982
This review is infamous in Culture Club history as it was written by Neil Tennant, then reporter for Smash Hits, who later went on to form the Pet Shop Boys.
Says George, in Take it Like A Man: "Neil Tennant, then features editor for Smash Hits, thought we were dire. "The worst thing about Culture Club is that they use tapes." I was angry and wanted to kill him... Funny, when Neil started the Pet Shop Boys there were no musicians on stage"

Woman Magazine - October 1983
An interview in the UK's Woman Magazine at the time when Culture Club were the biggest band on the planet! Their single at the time was Karma Chameleon, and interviews like this appeared quite frequently. So what's special about this one? It's where George was fabulously quoted (or misquoted) as saying: "(Sex?) I'd rather have a cup of tea and a good conversation!"

Helen Terry interview - 1984
An interview conducted with Helen Terry whilst in Australia, July 1984 - in the week she was leaving Culture Club to concentrate on her solo career. Not an in-depth interview, but enough to give you a general idea of her opinions on fans, her role in Culture Club and of course, George!
