I put this Web site together after realizing that I didn't have a place on the Web for my own stuff. Even though I already have WWW.SIMPLETONHIGH.COM for my comics and a Transformers gallery at WWW.BIGBOT.COM I felt I needed a place to hold everything together in one place. This site would also gives me the chance to showcase some of my other works & interests here.

Coming up with a name for the site took a bit of thinking. Because the site contains stuff that covers many genres such as anime, sci-fi, cartoons, mecha, girls, art, and model kits. I didn't want a name that would suggested just one thing and I wanted to avoid things along the lines of "Mecha Domain" or "Sci-fi Depot" or "Trans-Art" or "Mecha & Girls". I ended up with the name "Electric Sheep" because I felt it's not limited to any specific category. It could suggest sci-fi, fantasy, mecha, anime, comedy, and goofiness. Plus it also had a nice ring to it.

The name Electric Sheep comes from the sci-fi novel "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" by Philip K. Dick. Of course the book is more famously known as the movie "Bladerunner". I remember when I saw Bladerunner for the first time I kept thinking on how much it was like a novel. As the credits rolled I found out to my surprise that it was based on one, and how the original book title fit the movie so much better. Interestingly enough, it is also the one movie that influenced more Japanese animation in visuals & concepts than probably any other American movie.

So I hope you enjoy all the stuff you find here and will keep coming back from time to time.
