Step 7 
Now you should have 3 or 4 even sections, secured with the clear bands 


 
 

Step 8 
Take one of the sections, and gently twist. Keep twisting until the section begins to twist back on itself, creating a small knot, or bun. I usually start with one of the front sections, (you'll see why in a minute). 

Step 9 

You can fuss a bit with the bun, until you find a look you like.. I like a flatter bun in the front, with the sections in back being a little more full. 


 
 

Step 10
Once you're happy with the bun, secure the knot with a straight pin. For stability, place the pin through the elastic, near the base of the pony. I usually only have one pin, but it feels a little loose, by all means, stick another pin in there. She won't complain, I promise.


 
 
 
Step 11

Continue with the other sections in the same way. Try to get all the ends near the base of the ponytail.  It looks a little neater if you can keep these together. That way, you can try to cover them with the last coil of hair (told you there was a reason to keep them in the back!).
