I don't know exactly where the picture came from, but it epitomizes my grandmother. She was a very special person, with a very special spirit. She believed in the proverb of Mourning Dove, "...everything on the earth has a purpose, every disease an herb to cure it, and every person a mission. This is the Indian theory of existence."
