WCW was in desperate need of heels after a rash of injuries and other occurances robbed the roster of mega-heels Scott "Big Poppa Pump" Steiner, Scott Hall, and Kevin Nash.
To rectify this, WCW had Sting turn heel.
Some think it's a great idea. Others think its an angle that could blow up in WCW's face. Some want to see Steve Borden evolve his character and do something different. Others suspect this is another attempt to placate Hogan's ego. Let's take a closer look at why I think the Sting heel-turn is a bad idea.

WCW betrays Sting's fans...
At Fall Brawl, the unthinkable occurred. Something that was rumored, but few believed would actually take place.
At Fall Brawl, Sting ... who has long been the company man for WCW ... was turned heel for the benefit of Hulk Hogan.
It's an occurrance that capped off the culmination of events leading me to decide to stop watching WCW...an event that may well spell doom for this site. Read about it in an article about how WCW has betrayed Sting's fans.

How to fix WCW...
WCW is obviously in need of help. The current storylines are lacking...the programs lack excitement and punch...continuity is non-existent...Pay Per View buyrates are falling fast...and the ratings take a hit every single week.
Last week (August 23rd) Eric Bischoff called a meeting to discuss the current bad feelings and general whining going on backstage. However...Eric Bischoff will have to do more than offer a few disgruntled wrestlers their releases if he want's to fix what's wrong with the organization he's paid to run.
An article I wrote a while back addresses the fact that WCW is broken, and needs a fix. So...take a look at my recent article and find out how to fix WCW.

The Starrcade 1997 Debacle...
A short time ago, I completed a special article dealing with one of the most confounding and disgusting events in modern Pro Wrestling history.
It doesn't deal with a death or an accident...instead it deals with one man's ego, and the follout following what was to be "The Match of the Century".
I'm talking about Sting vs. Hogan...I'm talking about Starrcade 1997.
