In Short: After a gang member dies in the ER, the boy's mother claims that one of the doctors suggested they "Let him die" so a prosecutor calls in Wilkes, Nyland, McNeil and Watters for widely varying statements about what actually happened during the crucial time period.

The doctors are questioned by an attorney who is desperatly trying to find out what has happend in the E.R.
Keith Wilkes : "It's an impossible job,
but being who I am, I asked for the job...only to find out that even
I can't do the impossible."
Danny Nyland : "That's right. 'Cause we're just a bunch of
sadists and murderers over there, only this time we got caught."
Jack McNeil : "No matter how hard I try, I'm never totally
gone...not really. Even though I wish I could be."
Phillip Watters : "To hold a human life in your hand...to know
that you're responsible for someone's very existence, you feel like
God."
