GM Police Cars - Holden
Holden Commodore is built in Australia and is sold in Australia and New Zealand. It is the favorite vehicle for use by police departments in both countries.  Rear drive, and currently powered by a Chevrolet 5.7 litre V-8 Generation III engine. Holden builds special left hand drive versions of this car for the Middle East, and are sold as the Chevrolet Lumina and Chevrolet Caprice (Holden Statesman). The Holden Commodore shares its platform with the European Opel Omega (which had been sold in the United States as the Cadillac Catera). The 2 door version of the Commodore is known as the Holden Monaro, and is being sold in the United States as the 2004 Pontiac GTO. The Holden Commodore was slightly retyled for 2003 as the new Commodore VY model.
