Giving information to other personnel than those mentioned above, regarding this transmission and those following, will result in immediate extermination, regardless of Inquisitorial rank. The latest incidents on KVX-193, CCX-107 and Mars have caused me, Inquisitor Gregor Vandenberg (Ordo Hereticus) and Inquisitor Harrison Jones (Ordo Xenos) to form the COOPERATIVE (information about this later).
Great Lord Inquisitor Gavinius, fellow Inquisitors, I feel great relief to tell You, that Operation Phoenix was a landslide success. In 982.M.41 I was to assist a Mechanicus Adept on the former Necrontyr world of Arcturus. On the second day of my presence on Arcturus the we were attacked by a small Necron force. They obviously did not expect heavy resistance and so we could drive them back to their tombs. During the assault, the Emperor himself must have guided my shot, a Kraken Bolt from my master-crafted pistol hit a Necron warrior, took out its teleporter unit and punched it at least 3 metres back. The destruction of the teleporter unit or any other essential part of a Necron usually causes its tomb complex to teleport the warrior back from its last confirmed position. As the impact of the Kraken bolt pushed the Necron back, the tomb complex could not retrieve it. This enabled us, for the first time in Imperial history, to capture a Necron warrior 'alive' and functioning. I took the chance and transported the Necron to our main base on the Jupiter moon of Io, in a stasis field under Code Vermillion . ...fellow Inquisitors, if any of You feel disgusted by the Xanthite philosophy regarding Xenotypes, please end the transmission now.
Highest Lord Inquisitor, I bid thee, please keep this transmission on-line and listen... On Io my fellow Inquisitor Harrison Jones of Ordo Xenos was able to find out a lot about Necrontyr technology. A report on this topic will follow soon. A few days after my arrival on Io I was requested for a secret meeting on a small uninhabited jungle moon in Segmentum Solar. Iyánna Ariénàl, Rune Prophet of Eldar Worldcraft Iyanden, met me there and told me much about the Necrontyr threat arising. Do not speak to aliens, do not listen to aliens... I know that. She granted me a full Soulscan of her, and I could neither detect any lies nor psychic barriers inside her. (I am a Alpha Plus psyker. She is only about Alpha Minor.) Ten other Alpha Plus could verify this independently. She offered her help to find about the true nature of the Necrontyr warrior and so I took her to Inquisitor Jones' laboratory on Io officially under SANCTIONED ENLISTMENT. (Thus there was no security level breach.) It broke her heart in two to transfer a brave Eldar warrior's soul into the cold metal prison of a Necrontyr. After a long talk with the soul of the Eldar hero Alaieltanomorreiasalonethatil he agreed to this fusion. The result of this was a functioning Necrontyr warrior on our side with the memories of the Eldar hero Elthil as well as the memories of the Necron warrior. As the soul of the Eldar hero was able to overpower the Necrontyr soul, we were able to find out a lot about the former Necrontyr civilisation as well as its downfall. The method of capturing a Necron was used another two times successfully. The Necron warrior 'One' is currently under Inquisitor Jones' and my Sanctioned Enlistment.
We have decided to wait telling You about Operation Phoenix until the last tests and investigations were made. Inquisitor Vandenberg’s reports on his investigation on Mars, including an interrogation of the heretic Corteswain, made us aware that we had already lost the initiative. We had to take immediate action and form the COOPERATIVE, a re-formed coalition of the last days of the Horus Heresy, including servants of the Imperium as well as Eldar.
All that You have been told now could be regarded as heretical. It is not. I wish You all to join the COOPERATIVE to face the Necron threat which is regarded as threat level Beta at the moment. (It should be Alpha instead.) If you should dare to take actions against the COOPERATIVE or any of its members, I will regard it necessary to remove You from the Inquisition. Highest Lord Inquisitor, please do not forget that the Ordo Malleus can remove the Grand Master of the Inquisition from his office only because of the slightest hint of heresy. I wished those threatening words would not have been necessary, but I fear to lose the initiative once again. We cannot afford this, fellow Inquisitors. Billions of lives are at stake, Human and Eldar. If you feel disgusted by the ideas and facts presented here, maybe it will help You: at first I was as well. The goals of the COOPERATIVE are to disturb any Necrontyr activity, by clandestine operations or by direct intervention. The information we could retrieve from the Necron-Eldar-hybrids was essential to create new unique anti-necron-weaponry, including: - first replica variants of gauss-weapons (to be frank... they don't work yet...) - working replicas of Necrontyr phase blades. They are already used successfully by the Calidus temple. - modifications for Imperial and Eldar spaceships to adapt to the Necron cloaking device. (with some effect yet... we are still trying to improve...) - and more important than anything else: a personal field generator enabling personnel to enter Necrontyr facilities without being detected. A Deathwatch kill team has been equipped with this 'null-field' and was able to retrieve a fully functional phase generator from a Necron tomb in the Aranis sector.
