November 15, 2045.
Dear Anastasius Foch,
Outside the medical facility, Kid Stealth was watching for signs of trouble when he noticed somebody sulking back in an alley up the street. He diverted his attention and called Shark, who acknowledged it and headed out to take care of it. Before leaving he gave a code to Zona and told her to lock the doors.
In the streets of Straylight it was hard to feel threatened he told me, but he felt it. Being on a station without the ability to use firearms was something Shark heavily resented. As he moved around to check out the snooper, he took precautions not to alert any Arasaka guards that may be out. The huge Black Power Armor Suits were the only force of law on the station. Invoking one's wrath was rarely a good life choice. When Shark had snuck up behind the snoop, he grabbed his arms and twisted. A short yelp came out of the thin man's lips, then Shark covered his mouth. After a few hand signals, the snoop knew that to shout out was death. After releasing the cover on his mouth Shark learned that this person was a Decker, and a friend of Mo's at that. Egon explained he had been sent by Mo to help out if they needed it. After the little introduction, Shark brought him into the front lobby of the Center and then went back to see Zona.
Zona was finishing up on the operation with Shark watching when she motioned him in. She told him everything was ok, and that Kazure would wake up as soon as she closed the hatch. Shark snorted and hacked up a goober, and made to fire it into the hatch. When Zona made no move to stop him he looked over. She shrugged her shoulders and said the cleaning mechanisms would take care of it. Impressed, Shark got rid of the goober in Kazure.
This of course was all before the end of the previous evening (from the last letter) when Spydr called with the exciting and then terrifying end. We shall join her now. The knock repeated itself, and then the door opened. A small terrified little man entered and appraised Spydr in her scantily clad atire. He muttered about looking for his boss and being followed. He had gone off to the bedroom when there was a second knock, followed shortly by Arasaka troops in the Black Power Armor barging in. One shouted at Spydr to get against the wall, which she did promptly. Others rushed past as they swept into the room. She heard glass and windows break in the bedroom. There was some struggling and then she was able to turn her head. The Suit she had been with the night before was being led out in shackles. The trooper watching her kept a hand on her shoulder and a laser pressed to her back the entire time. The Power Suits were large, imposing, and gave the impression the soldiers weren't human. Like something out of a Science fiction novel, they didn't even have faces behind the blacked out face plates. The guards then gave Spydr a short 'sorry' and left. She overheard them refer to the guy that got away as 'Exekiel'.
When she got dressed and left with her copies of the documents, she finally learnt what COINe was. Constructed Organic Interconnected Neural Environment is the title of the file that she read with Shark browsing over her shoulder. There was a dosier on her, and a cold clynical definition of what had been done to her. I have included files on this also.
It was early morning when Shark recieved a call from his contact Jio. Whose agent, by the name of Kenna was in trouble. She was in southern Italy hiding out from GenTech's internal enemies and external enemies that want to take control of her. Jiovonazo asked Shark to take on the job of protecting her for the immeadiate future, and after they agreed on the per diem rate for Shark and extra men, Shark accepted. By noon of that day he and Gator were on a flight down to Berlin with connecting E-Trains to Prague, Switzerland, Rome, and finally Vienna.
During that time though, several other things happened.
Almost immeadietly after Shark and Gator left, A Black Armor clad Arasaka trooper showed up wanting to talk with Spydr regarding the arrest of Austin. She accepted her fate and started to follow when Kazure agreed to go with too. Kazure had returned to his true form at this point and shifted the tattoo of "Loyalty" to "Ronin". Karie/Kazure/Justin now looked like he did during life, a middle aged Spanish man with dark skin, dark hair, and dark brown eyes. Both were then taken up to the Security station right outside the Vila. I suppose that now I should elaborate on the interior layout of The Spindle. There are twelve roads, each named for a seperate Zodiac, that run between the ends of the Spindle. At the 'North' end is the Vila-Straylight which houses the incredibly rich owners. The 'South' holds the Docking Station and other means of travel. Kid Stealth and Half-pint followed them to the Security station and are there for their release at eleven hundred hours.
Shark prepared as much as possible and looked forward against every possibility, but despite all that nothing happened. He and Gator arrived at the Vineyard just before 1730, and in plenty of time to await dinner. Ariel arrived at 1745, and intorduced herself to Shark as Kenna, then everyone including the safe-house owners sat down to a nice big Italian dinner. After dinner Shark was given a car by the owner and they all departed for Rome and a return flight back to the Spindle.
When they returned they found things in a state of near panic. A large battle had taken place at the Vila-Straylight. Let me tell you about it.
Shortly after being released from the SEcurity Station, Romero (Kazure) had been contacted by Mike and informed that Edo Tanzero (CEO of Tanzero Corp) must die for things to come full circle. If this were done by Romero's hand the cycle would be complete as Tanzero Corp was the original creator of Kazure v1.0.
Romero and Spydr then decided to complete the mission themselves and break into the Vila Straylight and destory Mike. Kid Stealth was of course eager to help as he had brought along a folding rifle. Something else I must note. Mo had the foresight to equip them with diplomatic passports and cases, thus they all had firearms despite their being a complete ban on them to all others in the Spindle except the Power Armor troops. Spydr talked to her contacts at length and eventually find out through one, that the person they need to see to get information on the Vila is a scum ball. Her contact set up an appointment with him, for an intimate meeting. Her goal was get Kazure inside the Vila where he would destroy the physical Computer Mainframe body of Mike. Her contact Shwa-dejur had arranged for her to meet Omega-7, a rich member of the Straylight family.
The meeting with Mr. Omega was to be interesting. Spydr wore something that was tight and easy to look at. Twelve gorgeous young ladies of different looks, shapes, figures, and cup-sizes were personally attending to his every need. From laughing at his bad jokes, to performing oral falatio. The one young lady in the midst of oral falatio, looked like she had been performing it far too long. This and the feeling that Spydr got from the vixens that they were fresh off the bus and being taken advantage of is what prompted her in the decision to kill him. Since Kazure was in, she just had to make sure that Omega-7 did not raise an alarm. To do so she began to undress and asked for some privacy with him. All twelve left in a heartbeat. As she and Omega-7 embraced Spydr stung him with her tounge. He was paralyzed, and unable to act, all before they had even hardly touched. She then dressed, said a few short words to him, and finally injected him with a nerve toxin. He died painfully as every nerve ending exploded until there were none left to run vital body functions. His heart stoped and lungs quit. Clinical death followed in ten mintes.
Back outside, Kazure had been instructed to take the path of most resistance, so when the Arasaka guards in Power Armor started to show up he killed each one and followed them to their source. This brought him to a huge spherical room in zero-g. It was filled with a massive mainframe that had a central unit that passed around blocks of hardware. Kazure dove in and began ripping it apart. Once it was disabled, he began to rip open holes in the computer frames and placed the digits of his fingers in them set to explode in minutes. Lastly, he used his claws to slice open every box, and slash every board. As he left an explosion rocked the station and he knew his job was complete. Kazure met Spydr and they proceeded out a different door then they came in. They were met by a guard who was not at all friendly, but before the guard could get his weapon up his armored head exploded. Outside they caught a fleeting glimpse of Kid Stealth on the roof, as Half-Pint pulled up in a stolen car. With it, they made their get away.
Back at the hotel, in the suites as Shark arrived with 'the package' he met everyone in high spirits after they had seemingly destroyed Mike. He didn't know it at the time, but Spydr was not actually in the room though others had voiced her attendance, because she was coping with the up-close and personal killing she had committed. The night ended with everyone going their seperate ways and trying to enjoy some of the free hospitality Mo offered. Ariel and Spydr went out to the bars (after she was feeling better) and ditched both Gator (after a bar fight) and Kazure (who they left in the hall.)
