2002 Starts With Win !!!
Sept. 18 at Char-Valley Pool W.A. had it's first match of the season vs. South Park - the outcome was a good 13 to 11 victory. Coach Amy said there is still much work to be done but it was good for the teams confidence and gave alot of new players a look at what H2O Polo is about !
Lori Burkett is the returning senior, Tracy Fair a returning junior, and Katie Irwin is a freshman this year but got some experience last year as an 8th grader. Most everyone else is new to the team, but some summer time work helped many get a good background to Polo.
The team will be challenged a little more Thursday Sept. 19 as they go to Char-Valley to play Char Valley. C.V. has the most experienced program in the area, and has more guys on the co-ed team than any other team. This should prove to be a real challenge for the Indians. But they seem to play with a lot of heart, and several new players have added some good talents, so go W.A.
