gallica seedling 1

gallica seedling 1

This is a rose grown from a seed taken from the gallica Tuscany Suberb. It has the dark velvety color and texture of its parent and in many ways is very similar. It forms a nice dense dome about 3 feet in height and about 4 to 5 feet in width. Even when not in bloom, it makes a nice neat green bush, made up of hundreds of straight, slender canes typical of gallicas. This rose is very carefree, since it rarely needs pruning, is very winter hardy and doesn't require deadheading. Unfortunately, there is virtually no scent.
