Here's a pic of an old purple no-name that
I got at the grocery store about 12 years ago.
This one has survived alot of abuse.
I first kept it at the office
where it did very well. Then, it spent two years
in a kitchen window that got very cold with lots
of condesation. It was potted in heavy soil and got
crown rot so I rerooted the crown and now it's
blooming again. I rerooted the crown by just
sticking it in a jar of water and kept it
on the same cold window sill. I didn't
get around to potting it until the jar
was jammed full of roots. The latest abuse
was putting it under lights that were too strong.
Sometimes the top petals are so dark they are almost
black.
