I heard it was going to happen, but, I couldn't (wouldn't) believe they were actually going to do -this-!!! If you don't know yet, Ellis has done the unthinkable (what is believed as a way to get back at Marvel) and killed Pete Wisdom. I haven't actually bought the book yet (poor, broke, not a cent to my name, you get the idea) but I have been told that Wisdom gets shot in the back of the head by Dr. Roman and ends up very much dead...not a position one would think Wisdom would get in (I would have thought he would have died with a -little- more dignity than that, you know? Not very dignified to get shot in the head...would have rather had he been killed a different way...a way that would -not- be as just...horrifying...maybe he could have died an old man warm in his bed *thwaps her head at the Titanic reference* I'm getting as bad as Britney Spears!)...anyways...

I am sure Ellis would not like it (I have a feeling he thinks nearly everyone at Marvel are fascist pigs...but with good reason ;)) but...you know what they say: no one truly dies in the Marvel Universe. If they could come up with a plausible (is -anything- plausible in the Marvel Universe? *L* ) way, I'm all for it. I would even be happy if he was cloned and was running with the likes of Mr. Sinister to do something or other to the X-Men...be an interesting story, no? I am sure that Pete's not very happy with this decision to kill him *can picture it. Pete storming the Marvel office and shooting up the place...just sparing a few lives of those people who are still cool (not including the Dark One)*

Any ways, so Pete's dead...long live Pete. Now, I think he could be coming back...just because that is the Marvel way. All of the other important characters in Kitty's life (does she has a curse or something? Nearly everyone who she has known has had something bad happen to them where they die or something. The X-Men died (slan in Dallas and all that); Larry committed suicide after Kitty dumped him cause he said a bad joke about Mutants; Doug Ramsey died (but came back in the form of Douglock...okay, not the same guy, but he's -close-); Rachel got lost in the timestream (and she's comin back...sometime soon. In X-Man, I believe)) have come back in one form or another. *s*

Okay, so, there is a point to this writing: write to Marvel and Complain! E-mail, snail mail, whatever, but COMPLAIN to Marvel. Ask them to bring Wisdom back (it could happen if they get enough letters...they dropped that stupid thing about Kitty being "barely sixteen" rather quickly because of the same reason: the fans won out). Now, I KNOW there are a lot of Wisdom fans out there and I want you ALL to speak out. Send MANY letters telling them how pissed you are!!

Not that it would happen, but, it sounds like a cool idea that my friend Maggie told me. Pete and Kitty DESERVE a series (ongoing) of their own. In her own words: They could have this X-Files/Mission Impossible kind of storyline, only with sex. *nodnod* Now I really like this idea. A LOT. Kitty and Pete were at their happiest moments when they were together (and in all those great scenes in the P&W LS). Kitty wasn't really happy before (angsty yes, but happy, no. She hadn't experienced the enigma known as Pete Wisdom yet. He REALLY brought out the best in her....course, Ellis was also writing at this time, and that was THE reason it was so great, but...still). If we got a good writer on this story, it would completely kickass...I'm sure it is only a dream *sigh sigh* but it is worth a shot to mention it in a letter.
