Mission of Site
Mission of Site

I got to thinking the other night (You know it worries me when you do that. Urg...shut up Pete!! I have to tell the good people what we are all about, so stick a sock in it you bloody sod!) As I was saying, before I was rudely interrupted, I was thinking of how there are not really any GOOD Pete Wisdom's sites (or Kitty's) except save for a few (such as Dora's A Glimpse of Pryde, Jack's A Touch of Wisdom, and Cat's Wisdom's Web). Other than there being a lack of pages devoted to Kitty and/or Pete, most of the pages that are around are in dire need of being updated.

Take a good look at the Kitty Pryde Webring (especially and tell me what you see. If you tell me that you see a listing of pages that have not been updated in ages (or if they have, it is only for minor details) then you're right!! Even Kittypryde.com (which should be the Mecca of all Kitty things, but really does not seem that way to me) still does not cover what it claims. It claims to be the largest Kitty Pryde site online, but they are sadly mistaken. The reason they were the largest Kitty Pryde site was because there was no competition, and there still is not...not even my site compares to their site (yet).

There are two sites (the basic two sites that I am sure most Kitty fans have visited, and I am also sure that the majority of them were rather disappointed with what they found). The sites are as follows: The Cat Box... and Shadowcat's HomepageNow, the problem I always, I mean Always, have had with The Cat Box... is that I cannot figure how to navigate the site. There are a total of three links written in the text (one is a bio on Shadowcat that is out of date, another is a message board, and the third is an acknowledgements and disclaimer page). I am not one for having to search through a site to find what it holds because I'm lazy, and like a lot of people out there, I like it when things are set out right in front of you so you know what to expect.

Shadowcat's Homepage is another site that eludes me. I like it, yes, and it has some good traits, like it does show you what is on the site, but there is not all that much info save for info that is directly from a Marvel Universe site. It's just...maybe I'm expecting too much, because I am going by what I expect of myself, but, when I do a site, I try to include everything (and I do mean everything) someone would want to know about the char(s), would like to see a lot of pictures of the char(s), would want to hear antidotes about the char(s), etc. The Cat Box... and Shadowcat's Homepage are not all that complete.

Another thing that I noticed about these sites that I have listed in the last previous paragraphs is they lack in pictures. Yes, pictures. That is the real reason many of you (including myself) go to websites. When you have the same pics that everyone else does, or when you haven't updated your pics in ages, people get tired and crabby.

Now I know this seems like a flame, but it really is not. If any of the webmasters of the sites I have mentioned get mad, then do something about it. I would rather see the energy that anger builds go into something productive (like editing a webpage) instead of being directed at me for simply having the guts to speak the truth.
