This FAQ hopefully will answer some of your questions about WLS and what it is, including some of the terminology used in WLS.
It is by no means an all inclusive list and I AM NOT A PHYSICIAN.  The definitions I've provided are based upon MY understanding of them and an attempt to place them into layman's terms that the average person can understand!
It is critical that you do research on you own, and know the surgery (and surgeon) you select thoroughly.
Ask your prospective surgeon questions.  Write them down and take them with you.  Check out his credentials and success rates.  Above all, ASK his or her OTHER PATIENTS.
Remember, YOU are the consumer.  This is YOUR life.
