Regarding Elijah Colclough born 1838 - my greatgrandfather was named Elijah Colclough, we do not know his date of birth but he died in 1902. He was the eldest son and named after his father. He was born in Stoke on Trent and was a potters presser for the Wedgewood factory. He married a Mary Wheatley - we think they had four or five children (other names I have: George, Marie - also known as Polly), one being my grandfather Joseph Colclough, born 27th November 1899. They lived at 53 Keelings Lane U.D. My grandfather had an Uncle Elijah. Both Elijah and Mary Colclough died around 1902, due to an epidemic and all their children were placed in an orphanage in Hanley, and Joseph was taken out by his Uncle Elijah Colclough.

I am searching for my family who lived in Wolverhampton in 1930's (not too far from Staffordshire). My mother was Cecily Agnes colclough living in the parish of St Mary and St John in Woverhampton in 1936. I dont know her date of birth. I am looking for my family. P D Colclough

I am looking for any information on the following Colcloughs - George and Mary Colclough of Turnerstone Street, Salford circa 1880's and their children, Billy, Edward, Noah, Charlie, George, Alice, Leah, Sarah, Harry. Noah (my great grandfather) was born on 15 May 1886 in Salford and died on 14 Jan 1958 in Todmorden, and was married to Mary Jane Green. Noah was also a boatman on the Manchester Ship Canal from 1919 to 1935. Also have note on Arthur who drowned in Manchester Ship Canal and Jack but don't know if they were children of George and Mary or other relations. Also family story of a great uncle, possibly called Bradshaw, who emigrated to America but that's about all I know. Any help gratefully received.
