- Sony Computer Entertainment America announced that they have sold over 1.5 million
units of PlayStation 2 since the Thanksgiving week, and over 6.5 million units were sold
in US. According to the TRSTS sales report, PlayStation and PlayStation 2 software sales
have make up of two-thirds of the market sales during November. The PlayStation family
hardware, software and peripherals have generated over $700 million in retail revenue in
November, Sony expects to generate another one billion dollars revenue in December. Six of
the top 10 best selling games in the month are PS2 and PSone titles, including Metal Gear
Solid 2, Grand Theft Auto III, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3, Harry Potter & The Sorcerer's
Stone, Madden NFL 2002 and WWF SmackDown! Just Bring it.
- Square has revealed additional information on their PlayOnline RPG Final
Fantasy XI for PS2. Two new races are announced, they are Galka and Mithra. The
Galka tribe lives in The Republic of Bastok, they have very strong physical strength, and
they do not pass their physical traits to their descendants, so each Galka may look very
different from the other. The Mithra tribe lives in the Federation of Windurst, they have
big ears and long tails, and they excel in speed, and there are very few Mithra males, the
whole race are mostly female, and only female venture outside Windurst.....

- Victor Interactive is working on a new PlayStation 2 RPG called River
Fantasia: The Tale of Mariel and the Fairies. The story takes place in a world
where human and fairies coexist. However, fairies can grant wishes to human, but the only
way to communicate with fairies is wishing to the tree of fairy. In the game you play as
Mariel, a boy who lives in a treehouse at the top of the fairy tree, in order to pay her
debts, she goes out to help people to communicate with the fairies and grant their wishes.
Mariel must explore many different areas to collect all the necessary materials, and
defeat the monsters before she can come home to talk to the fairies.....

- Here are some new screen shots of Sony's PlayStation 2 action RPG Dual Hearts.
The story takes place in a world where the reality and dream world are connected together.
In this game you play the role of a young treasure hunter, who is aiming to become a Relic
Radar (the highest class of a treasure hunter), and decided to hunt for the Dream Stone,
which is hidden in a palace inside deep dreams. With the help of Bargu, a mysterious
creature from the dream world, you can enter into different people's dreams and search for
the treasures, and battle against the monsters in the dream world. There are a total of 15
characters in the game, and over 40 dream worlds. The battle system will make use of the
analog function in the Dual Shock 2 controller, you have two weapons in your two hands,
you can attack the enemy by tabbing the button, but your weapon can also shoot out other
weapons when you press the button with more strength.

- Sony is working on the a new installment of the popular SRPG series Arc the Lad for
both PlayStation 2 and WonderSwan Color. The WonderSwan Color version of the game is
titled Arc The Lad: Kijin Fukkatsu, in which the main character is Elk, one of the
main character from Arc the Lad II, and the story takes place 3 years after Arc the Lad
III. Both Arc The Lad new works are scheduled for a 2002 release in Japan. (From

- Abel will release a new card battle RPG game called Card of Destiny
for Dreamcast in Japan on March 28, for 6800 yen. In this game you use cards to summon
spirits to defeat the enemies. The story is divided into a number of scenarios, each one
is divided into dungeons and adventure, you battle the monsters and enemies in the
dungeons mode, and you can communicate with various characters, acquire new characters and
enter sub-events in the adventure mode.
