Enix has sold over 638,000 units of the PSone remake of Dragon Quest IV, and Nintendo's
Super Smash Bros. DX (Melee) has also sold an impressive 358,000+ units in the week,
making this the best selling GameCube title to date.

- Bandai will release a new Digimon title for WonderSwan Color in Japan in mid-December
called Digimon Tamers: Battle Evolution. This is a new battle and
collection RPG game similar to Pokemon, in this game you have to travel around the world
to battle with other Digimons and acquire them into your team. There are over 290 kinds of
Digimons in the game, including most of the Digimons from the TV series. You can bring up
to 3 Digimons with you during the quest. There is a new Tech-Card system in the game,
which allows you to convert companion Digimons into Tech-Cards, and use them as a plug-in
to increase the ability of your Digimons. Other than the RPG, there is also a mini game
called Digimon Quiz, which contains over 100 Digimon trivia questions.

- Bandai announced a new WonderSwan Color wrestling action game called Kinniku
Man 2nd Generation: Dream Tag Match, scheduled to release in March. This game is
based on the classic manga Kinniku Man II, featuring over 14 playable characters and
several play modes. You can also play the tag match with a friend over the link cable.

- Sega has confirmed the release date of their GameBoy Advance multiplayer action RPG Shining
Soul, the game is scheduled for release in Japan on March 28, 2002, for 5800 yen.

- Sega D-Direct has began to accept reservation of their hit game Virtua
Fighter 4 for PlayStation 2. Those who reserve the game early will receive
specially made character cards, each will contain the character profile and move list. Sega-AM2
will also release a new Virtua Fighter 4 Arcade Stick.....

- Sunsoft will release another new typing game for PlayStation 2 called Typing
Kengo: Sword of 634. The story is based on the classic manga, during the game you
have to type the words correctly so that your character can execute his special attacks
and defense himself. There will be special CG scenes after completing each stage.

- Sega UGA announced that they will release Space Channel 5 Part 2 for
PlayStation 2 in Japan on February 14, for 6800 yen.
- Square has released new details on their online RPG Final Fantasy XI.
In this game you can use the Team or Alliance system to
recruit companion. When forming a team, each person can recruit at least 2 companions, and
each team can have up to 6 players. When you try to recruit companions, there will be a
"Recruit" icon attached to your character, you will become the team leader after
finding the companions. Alliteratively you can approach other characters with the Recruit
icon to become a companion of this team. When you encounter tough enemies, you may have to
use the Alliance System to unite with 2 other teams (18 players in total) together to
battle.....

- Sega Smilebit announced the release date of their PlayStation 2 soccer club
simulation game Let's Make a J. League Pro Soccer Club 2002, the game is
scheduled for release in Japan on March 7, 2002, for 6800 yen.
- D3 Publisher announced a new PlayStation 2 tactical simulation game called Project
Minerva, in which you become a SWAT force team leader named Alicia, to cooperate
with other companions to complete the given missions. The heroine Alicia will
be played by the popular Japanese actress Norika Fujiwara.....

- Bandai has officially joined GameCube, their first game is a wrestling game called Kinniku
Man 2nd Generation: New Heroes Vs Legendary Heroes. The game is based on the
classic manga Kinniku Man II. In this game you play as many of the classic characters in
Kinniku Man and Kinniku Man 2nd Generation. It is also possible to create your own
wrestler in the game.
 
- Konami will release their first GameCube title Winter Sports 2002 Winter in Japan on
January 31, for 6800 yen. The GameCube version of Jikkyou World Soccer 2002
will be released on February 21, for 6800 yen.
- Nintendo of America announced that they have shipped a total of 565,000 units of
GameCube to US at launch, and they claimed that GameCube has sold twice as fast than
Microsoft XBox, and at least 25% faster than Sony PlayStation 2. Another shipment of
125,000 units has already hit retail stores.

- Sega WOW Entertainment has confirmed that they will release the arcade light gun
shooting game Lupin the 3rd: The Shooting in Japan on December 15.
- Here are some new screens of Sega's upcoming arcade racing game Initial D:

- Pacific Century Cyber Works Japan (PCCWJ is formerly known as Jaleco) announced a new
XBox online RPG game in Japan called Lost Continents, the game is being
developed by VR1 Entertainment. The game is described as a massive multiplayer online RPG,
which allows thousands of people to play the game at the same time. You can create your
own hero and interact with thousands of other players, to explore lost cities and face
down supernatural evil and weird science to save the world. Lost Continents features a
Private Zone system, the world of Lost Continents is changed with the hand of the player.
The game is scheduled for release in 2003.

- Enterbrain announced that they will launch a new XBox magazine in Japan on January
30, 2002 called the Fami Expert XBOX, the magazine will cover the latest and
accurate XBox game news, reviews, interviews and walkthroughs.

- Sega / Chunsoft have postponed the release date of their Dreamcast RPG game Shiren
Mysterious Dungeons Gaiden: Asukaken from December 20 to February 7, 2002. Sega
D-Direct also announced that those who reserve the game at the online store will receive a
bonus Asukaken Mousepad for free.....
