- Sony has officially announced a price cut for PlayStation 2 in
Japan. The PlayStation 2 model SCPH-30000 will be reduced to 29,800 yen on November 29.
Furthermore, Sony will begin to sale the Asian version of PlayStation 2 systems in
Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand on December 13, and Taiwan on January 24, 2002. The Asian
version will play region 3 DVD movies.
- Sony Computer Entertainment Hong Kong (SCEH) will be hosting a PlayStation 2
Expo in the Hong Kong Conference & Exhibition Center on December 22,
as a promotion to the launch of the official Asian version of PlayStation 2. SCEH will be
showing the latest PS2 products, as well as localized version several PS2 titles at the
show, such as a Chinese version of ICO. There will be also a number of PS2 Game
Tournaments and dozen of prizes and free gifts in the Expo.
- Konami will release ESPN Winter X Games Snowboarding 2002 for PS2 in
Japan on November 29, for 6800 yen. This time the game is supervised by professional
riders Todd Richards and Peter Line; as well as a collection of music performed by famous
artists like Offspring, Powerman 5000 and The Vandals. There are a total of 638 brand name
gears in the game, which you can purchase and equipment during the game.

- Konami will release K-1 World Grand Prix 2001 for PS2 in Japan on
December 6, for 6800 yen. This free style combat game features 18 professional K-1
fighters, and motion capture animation from real players. In the Grand Prix mode you can
choose to play single match, 8-Person Tournament, and 5:5 mode.

- Sony will release the PS2 RPG Wild Arms Advanced 3rd in Japan on
January 31, 2002, for 5800 yen.
- Konami will release a new sequel to Goemon for PlayStation, called Goemon:
New Generation Succession in Japan on December 20, for 5800 yen. This game
features 3D graphics and 2D gameplay, the character design are greatly changed. It is now
possible to reserve the game at the Konami Style website, for 5220 yen, you will also
receive a specially made Yebisu Mousepad for free.

- Microsoft will release a new XBox racing game called RalliSport Challenge,
scheduled to release in US in spring 2002. This rally racing game features 25 fully
licensed cars, four adrenaline pumping rally race modes and a wide choice of playable
tracks. You can compete with computer or human players in 4 rally events: Hill Climb,
Conventional Rally, Rallycross and Ice Racing. There is also a Career Mode for you to work
yourself from professional, classic to world classic circuits.

- Here are some new images of Crave's XBox fighting game Kabuki Warriors,
developed by Lightweight. The story takes place in ancient Edo Japan, you play as a Kabuki
(an actor and samurai) who have to fight other Kabuki troops to garner the crowd's favor
to receive tips. You can trade warriors with your defeated counterparts. The game features
24 playable characters, each with different weapon and unique attacks like fireballs, fire
storms, lightning and tornadoes. Kabuki Warriors is scheduled to release in US in the next
few weeks, and the Japanese version will released by Genki in Japan in February 2002.
