- Hudson will release Bomberman Kart for PlayStation 2 in Japan on December 20, for 5800 yen. The game features various race modes, including Grand Prix Mode, Battle Race, Speed Race, Time Attack and Bomberman Wagon, up to 4 players can battle simultaneously.

- The Dengeki Console Ranking Top 50 Chart is updated. This week's top 3 are new releases, including Vivarium / ASCII's Seaman Forbidden Pet, Atlus' Busin Wizardry Alternative and Aruze's Pachisuro Aruze Kingdom 5.

- Namco has introduced another character in Soul Calibur 2, he is Kirik from Soul Calibur. This 23 year old fighter came from a temple in Japan. He uses a long rod named Kali-Yuga as weapon.

- Nintendo of Japan announced that they have sold 510,000 units of GameCube in Japan since its launch on September 14, approximate 710,000 units of software were sold. Nintendo expects to ship 4 millions GameCube worldwide by next spring.

- For GameBoy Advance, Nintendo announced that 8.5 million units were sold worldwide by the end of September 2001, about 19.07 million units of software were sold.

- Due to strong demands, Nintendo of America announced they will increase the shipment of GameCube by 200,000 units in the holidays.

- Namco of Japan has revealed their shipment plans for the upcoming PlayStation 2 titles. Namco expects to sell 600,000 units of XenoSaga Episode 1: Der Wille Zur Macht and 450,000 units of Tekken 4. XenoSaga is currently planned for a February 2002 release, while Tekken 4 will be released before the end of March 2002. Namco is also planning to release a new baseball simulation title for PS2, which they expect to ship 250,000 units.

- Konami's Hideo Kojima mentioned that the Metal Gear Solid series will continue after MGS2. However, he would like to see someone new to direct the next MGS project. Kojima expects himself to get involved in the initial planning stages of the next Metal Gear Solid game.
