- The Dengeki Console Ranking Top 50 Chart is updated.
Koei's Shin Sangoku Musou 2 (Dynasty Warriors 3) has topped the chart for 5 consecutive
weeks, a rare case in the charts. The total sales of the game has passed 524,000+ units.
The 2nd and 3rd places are held by Namco's Time Crisis II and Sony's Formula One 2001.
- Namco has revealed a new character in Soul Calibur 2, he is Hwong
from the last game, an 18 year old swordsman from Korea, he uses a Chinese sword and
variegated kick technique in battles. There are also some updated profile data for the
previous announced characters, such as Tarim, Cassandra, Ivy and Taki.

- Sega is finally in black! Sega of Japan announced that they are expecting to see a
profit of 5.4 billion yen in Japan by the end of the 2001 fiscal year ending on March
2002.
- Here are some game movie trailers released by From Software:

- Square's upcoming PS2 RPG adventure game Kingdom Hearts will feature
3 more familiar Final Fantasy characters, they are Cid, Mog and Chocobo. Cid will become a
weapon shop owner in the game, who seems to be hiding his true identities behind.
- Koei will release their motion capture baseball game Sepa 2001 for
PlayStation 2 in Japan on December 6, for 6800 yen.

- Adobe Japan mentioned that the development staffs of Square have been using Photoshop
for 7 years to create artworks for the Final Fantasy series, except for modeling and
motion related works.
- To promote the PSone LCD Monitor, Sony will re-release a total of 45 classic
PlayStation titles under the PSone Books series, each game will retail between 1800 yen to

- Hudson announced that they will release their final Nintendo 64 game in Japan in
December, called Bomberman 64, this time the game will return to its
root, a real bomberman game supporting 4 players simultaneously. The game will be in 2D,
not 3D fancy graphics like in the Dreamcast edition.
D R E A M C A S T
- Sega Smilebit revealed a new Dreamcast soccer game called J. League Spectacle
Soccer, a soccer sports game featuring real name players from J. League and
FIFPro license. There are 3 play modes in the game: Competition, Domestic and Custom.
Domestic mode is the championship mode, and Custom mode allows you to edit visual data of
the team and players. You can also import game data from the soccer team management game Let's
Make a Special Large J. League Soccer Club. J. League Spectacle Soccer is scheduled
for a spring 2002 release.
 
- Mink announced that they will port a popular x-rated PC novel adventure game Tsubaki
to Dreamcast, the story centers around the investigation of a homicide case which happened
in a shut pavilion. The DC conversion will have not have any nudity scenes, but it will
have full voice from the PC version.
- CSI announced that all the Dreamcast + Broadband Adaptor bundle packs were sold out
in Japan, however, DC owners can still purchase the standalone version of the Broadband
Adapter in Japan. CSI is planning to clear all the remaining stocks of Dreamcast consoles
by the end of the year.
