- Sega UGA has released new info on Space Channel 5 Part 2, the sequel of their popular musical action adventure game. Ulala will return to the game, use her dances to battle with the mystery Shadow aliens.  The popstar Michael Jackson will make an appearance in the game as well. Space Channel 5 Part 2 for PS2 is scheduled for release in Japan in spring 2002.

- From Software announced that their upcoming PlayStation 2 mech combat game Armored Core 3 will have 4 player battle support, the game will support the iLink cable so that you can play the game on multiple machines and TV sets.

- Sega announced a PlayStation 2 port of the Dreamcast card battle game Culdcept II.

- Sega announced their PlayStation 2 game release schedule in Japan:

- Hudson will release Bloody Roar Extreme for GameCube, this game will be based on Bloody Roar 3, featuring better texture and character details than the original.

- Sega announced that they will release a GameCube version of Major League Baseball 2003 and Eternal Arcadia (Skies of Arcadia) in Japan sometimes in 2002.

- Sega will release the GameCube version of Sonic Adventure 2 Battle in Japan on December 20, and Virtua Striker 3 Ver. 2002 on January 31, 2002.

- Taito announced Estpolis Gaiden (Lufia Gaiden) for GameBoy Advance, a new sequel to the classic RPG series, scheduled to release in Japan in February 2002. This time the game will support up to 4 players simultaneously through link cable. Similar to the GBC version, this game features the automatic dungeon generation system, in the dungeons you will find a variety of treasures and puzzle solving events. It is also possible to acquire monster companion in the quest, and you can use the special technique of the monsters in battles.

- Square has officially announced Final Fantasy IV for WonderSwan Color, Final Fantasy IV and Front Mission will be released as part of the Square Masterpiece series.

- Nintendo has released a new GameBoy Advance Midnight Blue version in both ItoYokado (Japan) and Toys R' US (US) this fall. The machine will retail for 9800 yen, same as the other versions.

D R E A M C A S T

- Sega announced that the worldwide shipment of Dreamcast will finally reach 10 millions next month. However, because Sega is no longer producing Dreamcast consoles, both Propeller Arena and MS-R are canceled in Japan. The remaining Sega Dreamcast releases such as NFL 2K2, NBA 2K2, WSB 2K2 and Space Channel 5 Part 2 will not be shipping to retailers, the games will only available through the D-Direct online store.

- Sega will release a Dreamcast port of J-League Spectacle Soccer in Japan early next year.

- Chun Soft will release Shiren Mysterious Dungeons Gaiden: Asukaken for Dreamcast in Japan on December 20, for 6800 yen. The latest installment of their popular Mysterious Dungeons series, a RPG which can play over 1000 times. The story takes place after the story on the N64 version of Mysterious Dungeons, the monsters from the N64 version will appear in this title, as well as the synthetic system, storekeeper, blacksmith, trap and monster house.

- Sega has canceled the release of The House of the Dead 3 for Dreamcast, now the game is only scheduled for XBox.
