- The Dengeki Console Ranking Top 50 Chart is updated, Bandai's Gundam Zeonic Front have sold over 182,000 copies, making it the best selling game of the week. Sega's Shenmue II for DC have sold over 90,000 copies this week, and Konami's Shin Yugioh Duel Monsters II for PS2 have also sold over 36,000 copies.

- Sega WOW Entertainment announced that they will be showing a new arcade gun shooting game at the 39th JAMMA Show called Lupid the 3rd - The Shooting. A cartoon gun shooting game based on the classic TV anime series Lupid the 3rd. The flow of the game is similar to the past Sega light gun shooter, but this time there will be a total of 15 stages, and there will be an introduction animation before each stage begins.

- Sega announced that they will release Sakura Taisen GB2: Thunderbolt Operation for GameBoy Color in Japan on December 6, for 5800 yen. There will be a Limited Edition for 6800 yen on the same day, which includes an original GB Porch, as well as the 3 special card for the Sakura Taisen dramatic card game.

- Here are some new images of Hudson's PlayStation 2 board game Momotarou Dentei X: Chapter of Kyuushuu, featuring the popular character Momotarou, this time the game will become full 3D. The game is schedule for release in December.

- Konami has released new screen shots of their PlayStation 2 RPG game Genso Suikoden III, the game features full 3D environment and real time battles. Four main characters are revealed so far: Ged (tall, eyepatch), Christine (young lady in plate armor), Hugo (short, parachute pants) and the Hero of Flame.

- Konami of America issued a statement regarding to a rumored delay and cancelation of Metal Gear Solid 2, because the game carries a theme of terrorists in New York City. Konami said that they are still in shock over the tragic events, MGS2 is about the desire to end violence on a global scale. Konami is evaluating the impact of the recent tragedy, "There are no words to adequately express our sorrow, but we firmly believe that the people of America will come through this trial stronger than ever." - Here are some new images of Eidos' PlayStation 2 water racing game Jet Ski Rider, featuring full licensed Jet Ski game and licensed vehicles from Kawasaki. The game is formerly known as Wave Riders. Jet Ski Rider is set for a December release in Europe. (From CVG)

- Success announced that they are porting the arcade gun shooting game Psyvariar Complete Edition to PlayStation 2. In addition, a new anime racing game called Racing Construction and a miniature bullet-train driving / construction game Hakoniwa Tetsudou are under development for PS2 as well. More details of both games will be available on September 21.

- Here are the latest screen shots of Nintendo's highly anticipated GameCube fighting game Super Smash Bros. DX, the game is scheduled for release in Japan on October 26.

- In a press conference today, Capcom and Nintendo announced that the Biohazard series will become GameCube exclusive, both Biohazard 0 and Biohazard 4 are confirmed to be GameCube exclusive, and Capcom announced the GameCube remakes of the last 4 titles in the series: Biohazard, Biohazard 2, Biohazard 3: Last Escape and Biohazard Code: Veronica Complete. The remakes will feature full 3D environment instead of the still CG backdrops. The first remake - Biohazard is scheduled to release in Japan on March 22, 2002, both Biohazard 0 and Biohazard 4 will be coming out after the remake of the series is released.

- The Nintendo GameCube has officially launched in Japan on September 14, for 25000 yen. Three titles are available at launch: Wave Race Blue Storm, Luigi's Mansion and Super Monkey Ball. Although the crowd is not as big as the GameBoy Advance launch, but there are still a few gamers who sit in front of game shop in the midnight to wait for buying the console first thing in the morning. And surprisingly there are many foreigners who come to purchase the system. Some of the GameCube titles are already discounted on the first day at some game shops, including Super Monkeyball for 5480 yen, Wave Race Blue Storm and Luigi's Mansion for 6480 yen each. - Sega of America announced that they have indefinitely postponed the release date of the Dreamcast online flight combat game Propeller Arena: Aviation Battle Championship, due to the tragic event on September 11. Sega mentioned that they want to avoid causing additional grief to those who involved in the tragedy, because in the game one can deliberately play the game in a manner that generates images similar to those seen on the news.
