- Nintendo of Europe revealed a new cartridge based micro portable game system called Pokemon Mini at ECTS, the size of the machine is 58 x 23 x 74mm, which a black & white LCD panel for display. The system features wireless infrared communication and vibration functions, for you to battle with a friend. There is a C shoulder button on the right side of the machine. Pokemon Mini is set to launch in Europe in spring 2002.

- Four new games are announced for Pokemon Mini, first is Pokemon Party Mini, an action game supporting up to 4 players. The other 3 games are Pokemon Zany Cards, Pokemon Puzzle Collection and Pokemon Pinball Mini.

- Altron will release Ki Ki Kai Kai Advance for GameBoy Advance in Japan on September 14, for 5200. A remake of Taito's classic action shooter, known as Pocky & Rocky in US. In the game you play as a little shrine maiden, with the help of your friend Moru the raccoon, to battle with the Yamatano Orochi (evil snake with 8 heads).

- Square will release All Star Pro-Wrestling II for PlayStation 2 in Japan this winter. The game features over 40 playable, real name wrestlers each with his own set of motion captured animation, moves and attacks. In this game you can pull out different action and attacks by using the two analog sticks and buttons on the Dual Shock 2 controller.
