- The Dengeki Console Chart is
updated. This week's No. 1 game is Namco's Nechu Professional Baseball 2002, sold 80,000+
units, followed by Square's Kingdom Hearts and Bandai's One Piece Grand Battle 2 (this
game plays like Capcom's Power Stone).
- Namco has revealed two additional characters for their upcoming arcade fighting game Soul Calibur II. First is a sword fighter from
France named Rafael, 32 years old, who uses a sword named Franc-bed as
weapon. The second is Maxi from Latin, 28 years old, who uses a
twin-stick Nunchaku as weapon. Also checkout the 2P alternative costumes for each
character!

- Taito announced a new PlayStation 2 train driving simulation game called Densha de Go! Chapter of Ryojo, scheduled to
release in Japan this summer. This time in the game you will control the ground level
trams (street cars), which runs within the city traffic. The trams will have more stops
than trains, and you have to let passengers to get on and off the trams, as well as
announcing the name of the stop. There are 3 view modes available: Front View, Driver View
and Outer View. The game will have new routes and an original mode not found in the arcade
version. Due to the control of trams are different from trains, Taito will be releasing a
new Ryojo Controller for the game. However, you can still use the original Densha
controller with this game.

- Namco has officially announced details of Project
Venus: The Seven Project for PlayStation 2. The story takes place 100 years
after Seven, this time the main character is an immortal man named Blood Boall, who is
over 100 years old but seems like an 18 years old. He travels with two unusual companions,
one is a goddess named Ariah, another one is an evil girl named Vivi. Your mission is
to search for ways to evade the destruction of the world as recorded in the prophecy book.
The game features real time battles and ranking registration, it is also possible to
download new missions from the network. The battle system is similar to the Rotational
Battle system in Seven, the characters are strategically placed in 3 different
rows, the front row is physical attacks, the middle row is for supporting and healing
magic, the back row is for characters to rest and regain their strength.

Atlus has released new info on their XBox online RPG Shin
Megami Tensei Nine. A new character named Nabis is added to the game, this
little folk will join you as a partner in the virtual world, helping the player to send
and receive mails from the network, as well as providing guidance and helping you to
negotiate with the devils to join your party.
