- Square has released some new details for their upcoming MMORPG Final Fantasy XI for PlayStation 2, include details on
Costumes, Time Release Monsters, Long Range Attacks, Chocobos,
Shadow Dragon, Length of the Game, TP Gauge, and Weapon Skills. You can customize your character
with many different costumes, new ones can be purchased at shops or acquired from dungeons.
The appearance (hair style, skin color and even facial features) of the character may
completely change with different costumes.....

- Monolith Soft's producer Hirohide Sugiura mentioned that the sequel to Namco's newly
released RPG Xenosaga is already under development. In addition to Xenosaga
Episode II, Monolith Soft is also working on another secret title which
cannot be revealed yet. (From GPara)
- Sega Rosso has confirmed a PlayStation 2 port of their arcade racing game
Initial D: Arcade Stage.
- Irem Software Engineering will release the PlayStation 2 survival adventure game Zettai Zetsumei Toshi in Japan on April 25,
for 6800 yen. The game will support Sega's Rez peripheral Trance Vibrator. In this game
you have to rescue town people after the town suffered from a natural disaster
(earthquake). You can perform many different actions in the game, include Straddle, Walk,
Run, Hang On, Jump and Cry (search for survivors).

D R E A M C A S T
- Treasure announced a home version of their Naomi arcade shooting game Ikaruga,
the game will be coming to both PlayStation 2 and Dreamcast. The Dreamcast version is
scheduled for release on May 30.

G A M E C U B E
- Here are some screen shots of Sierra's GameCube first person action game Die
Hard: Vendetta, the game is being developed by Bits Studios, scheduled for
release by the end of the year.

- The Dengeki Console Chart is
updated. Over half of the entries are occupied by new game titles released this week. The
top selling game is Square and Disney's Kingdom Hearts, sold 415,900+ units, following by
Banpresto's Super Robot Taisen Impact, Namco's Tekken 4 and Nintendo's Fire Emblem: Sealed
Sword. Sega's last major Dreamcast title - Sakura Taisen 4 has dropped back to No. 13,
sold 238,400+ units to-date; and Capcom's GameCube Biohazard remake has dropped back to
No. 9, sold 134,400+ units to-date.
