G A M E C U B E
- Pipeworks Software is working on a GameCube fighting game called Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee. The
battles will take place in various cities, such as Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles,
London, Tokyo, Osaka and Monster Island (origin of Godzilla). Each stage contains many
interactive objects such as skyscrapers, bridges, and landmarks; you can also pick up
objects to attack the enemies, or powerup items such as extra health packs. Each monster
has 3 meters: Health, Energy and Rage, when the Rage Meter is full, your attack power will
increase and you can launch unblockable special attacks. Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters
Melee is scheduled for release this winter.....

- GameJam2: Sega announced a secret GameCube project called the "Virtua
Fighter 10th Anniversary Special Project" the genre is action adventure,
featuring every single character in the Virtua Fighter series, and a simple control system.
- GameJam2: Sega announced a GameCube port of their popular arcade game Beach
Spiker, scheduled to release in Japan this summer, the GameCube version will have
new character creation mode and improved partner A.I.
- GameJam2: Sega Sonic Team's GameCube version of Phantasy Star Online is officially
renamed to Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II.
The game will have a new Coast Area and Jungle Area not found in the original versions, as
well as several new monsters such as Merillrear, Merilltass, Urgibbon, Gal Griffon, Gey
and Gey Goo. Three new characters are available, include HUcaseal, FOmar and RAmarl....

- Nintendo announced the Japanese GameCube version of Mario Sunshine
will be released on July 19. In addition, Nintendo is planning to release 12 - 13 GameCube
titles in Japan by the end of this year, including The Legend of Zelda, Mario Party, Koro
Koro Kirby, Eternal Darkness and Star Fox Adventures.

- GameJam2: Sega and Red Entertainment announced a new PlayStation 2 gun action game
called Gungrave, scheduled to release in Japan in July.
 
- Capcom announced Disney Golf Classics
for PlayStation 2, a comical golf game featuring Disney characters. The game supports up
to 4 players simultaneously. During the game you can acquire special items by landing your
ball into a specific item zone, some of these items have magical power such as sending
your ball directly to the hole. Disney Golf ~ Classics is scheduled for release in Japan
on May 30, for 4980 yen.

- Here are some screen shots of Konami's PlayStation 2 soccer game World Soccer Winning Eleven 6, scheduled to
release in Japan on April 25, for 6800 yen. This time the Master League will have 8
additional teams and a division, divided into D1, D2 and D3. A new Negotiation System is
added to the game, you have to use points you earned from matches to negotiate with other
teams, before you can buy or borrow players. There is a new mini game called Challenge
Training, in which you have can go through a series of mini games to improve your
skills.....

- From Software will release the PlayStation 2 mech action game Armored Core 3
in Japan on April 4, for 6800 yen.

- GameJam2: Sega announced a new GameBoy Advance title called Greatest Nine,
which is a sequel to the popular Saturn baseball game.
- GameJam2: Sega Smilebit is also porting Let's Make the J.League Pro Baseball
Team to both GameBoy Advance and PC, a baseball simulation game in which you
become the supervisor of a soccer club and manages the team.

- SNK Neo-Geo has officially announced SNK Vs Capcom, a new Neo Geo
MVS arcade fighting game featuring characters from both SNK and Capcom universe, this time
the game will be developed SNK Neo-Geo (Playmore) and published by Sun Amusement.
- The Dengeki Console Chart is updated. Six new games
have entered the top 10 this week. The best selling game is Bandai's One Piece Grand
Battle 2, sold 246,000+ units; followed by Sega's Sakura Taisen 4, sold
216,000+ units, and Capcom's Biohazard, sold 104,000+ units. Other new games in
the top 50 include Konami's Pawapuro Kum Pocket 4 at #4, Taito's celshaded RPG Garakuta
Kingdom at #7, and Atlus' Shin Megami Tensei II remake at #10.
- UNCONFIRMED RUMOR: Eolith announced first details of The
King of Fighters 2002. This time the game will have a total of 56 playable

- Konami and Infogrames have reached an agreement for Konami of Japan to market and
distribute Infogrames game titles in Japan, the first Infogrames titles to be released by
Konami of Japan include V-Rally 3 and Nascar Heat.
- Evoga Entertainment will release a new Neo Geo MVS arcade fighting game called Rage
of the Dragon in Japan in April, a 2D fighting game based on the Double

- Nintendo and Sega announced they are co-developing a new GameCube / TriForce arcade
racing game F-Zero. The arcade version will be called F-Zero AC and
developed by Sega Amusement Vision; and the GameCube version will be called F-Zero
GC and developed by Nintendo. The two versions can exchange data with the Memory
Card 59.
