- Konami will release the GameBoy Color K-1 fighting game K-1 Pocket Grand Prix, scheduled to release in Japan on March 14, for 5800 yen. The game features 14 professional K-1 players, each with his own special attack and techniques. There are 6 play modes in the game, including Grand Prix Mode, Team Battle, Tournament, Versus, Super Fighting Spirits.

- Here are two new screen shots of Nintendo's GameCube platform game Mario Sunshine.

- The Microsoft XBox is launched in Japan today, in Akihabara Tokyo, about 30 people has lined up overnight, waiting to purchase the new console first hand in the morning. Many game shops have opened early between 6:30AM to 7AM for the XBox launch. There are also costume play contest in the area, most people have dressed up in Dead or Alive 3 costumes. The most popular launch titles are Tecmo's Dead or Alive 3 and Sega's Jet Set Radio Future. Due to the limited supplies, the XBox Special Edition has first sold out in many places. Microsoft announced that they have shipped 250,000 units of XBox in Japan at launch.
