- The Dengeki Console Ranking Top 50 Chart is updated.
This week the top 4 are occupied by new titles, including Koei's Romance of Three Kingdoms VIII,
Asmik Ace's Tokyo Devil Academy, Yuke's Exciting Pro Wrestling 3 and Yamasa's Santasuku Digi World 2
LCD Edition.
- Here are some first screen shots of Dragon Ball Z for GameCube and
PlayStation 2. The GC and PS2 version of Dragon Ball Z will have over 30 playable
characters, multiple characters can battle in the arena at the same time. Infogrames is
also planning to include online capabilities for the PS2 version once Sony finalized its
online strategies. Infogrames is planning to release the PS2 version this fall, follow by
the GameCube version. As for the XBox version, Infogrames said the game is still in
planning stage, they are hoping to release the XBox version sometimes in 2003.
 

- Enix's famous Dragon Quest development team Heart Beat announced that they are
temporary withdrew from game development business. Heart Beat was involved in the
development of DQIII, DQIV, DQVI and DQVII. Heart Beat representative mentioned that they
will return to the scene in the future.
- Sega of America has officially announced the US version of Crazy Taxi 3 for
XBox and Skies of Arcadia for PlayStation 2. Both titles are scheduled for a
summer release in US.
- Here are some new screen shots of Namco's arcade fighting game Soul Calibur
II. Check out new images of Asterisk and Cassandra. Namco has also conducted a
poll of favorite Soul Calibur characters. The results are released, the top 5 winning
characters are Seung Mina (22.33%), Sophita (18.27%), Voldo (13.19%), Mitsurugi (11.67%)
and Cervantes (11.67%).

D R E A M C A S T
- Capcom announced a Dreamcast version of the Naomi arcade action game Mobile
Suit Gundam: Federation Vs Zion DX, the game is scheduled for release in Japan on
April 11. The Dreamcast version will have network batle support using Capcom's KDDI
network.
P L A Y S T A T I O N 2 / P S O N E
- Square has posted two new movie trailers for Final Fantasy X: International,
which was released on January 31, 2002. The game will also feature several new boss
characters for your challenge, including Dark Aeons such as Heretic Siva, Heretic Ixion,
Heretic Valfor, Heretic Bahamut and Heretic Magus of Three Sisters; and a real-final boss
The Richter who has an ultimate attack named Mega Graviton. These new enemies are gathered
at the sky of Nagi Plain, you have to fly your airship high in the sky to find these enemies.

- Infogrames is working on two new GameBoy Advance titles based on the popular cartoon
series Dragonball Z. The first Dragon Ball Z game title is an action fighting RPG game
called Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku, scheduled to release in May.
The game will be based on the story in the TV series, the story is divided into a number
of sagas. You begin with the young Goku, collecting Dragonballs, battling with major
rivals in Saiyan, Namek and Frieze epics. Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku will have a
real-time combat system, you can use many of Goku's special attacks to fight the enemies,
such as the famous energy blast attack Kamehameha. You must also find ways to level up
your HP and Ki before facing the major bosses.

- The second Dragon Ball Z game title for GBA is a trading card game called Dragon
Ball Z: Collectible Card Game, scheduled to release in US this June. The game
will be virtually identical to the widely popular trading card game. In the game each
player selects a character and a deck of cards that best fits the character, then you can
use different attacks, defensive skills and strategies to win the match. In order to win
the match, you must either keep your cards until the opponent runs out of card, maintain
the highest personality points after the battles, or acquire the seven Dragon Ball or
Namek Dragon Ball cards.
