- Here are some latest screens of Spike / Acquire's PlayStation 2 action game Samurai,
scheduled to release in Japan in February. The game is developed by the creator of Tenchu,
there are 3 kinds of battle in the game. The first kind is facing multiple opponents, you
can use special attacks to cut through; the second kind is a serious match with boss type
oppoent, in a fighting game sense combat; the third kind is fighting alongside with
companion, you will meet up with helpful companion in the journey, who will fighting along
with you in battles. It is also possible to talk with the opponent during battle, you can
threaten the opponent, collection information or negotiate with the opponent to become
your companion....

- Konami will release Climax Tennix: WTA Tour for PlayStation 2 in
Japan on January 17, for 6800 yen. The sequel of their female professional tennis game.
This time the game will feature 20 professional players, and a mental staus simulation is
installed into the AI system, the mental status of the character changes according to the
situation, which will influence the player's ability during the game.

- Microsoft has announced XBox launch details in Japan. The XBox console will launch in
Japan on February 22, for 34,800 yen. Just like the US version, the machine will have
built-in broadband connection support and DVD playback (through an add-on DVD playback
kit). There will be a total of 12 launch titles in Japan,
each title will retail for 6800 yen:
- Air Force Delta II (Konami)
- Dead or Alive 3 (Tecmo)
- Double S.T.E.A.L. (Bunkasha Publishing) (Wreckless in US)
- ESPN Winter X Games Snowboarding 2002 (Konami)
