The time was during the General Homicide Murders. Eve had just fled Port Charles after being locked in one of the morgue freezers. Chris, upon finding a murder shrine in her closet, burned it and ended up arrested for tampering with evidence. Flash forward and we find Chris visiting Eve in jail after Frank dragged her back to Port Charles for violating a court order and so it goes. Chris is talking about the shrine he found and explaining it to Eve. The two are sitting close to one another leaning in towards each other and holding hands I think (I'm not certain, but they are obviously in deep conversation here)
Chris: Eve Lambert, you don't have an artistic bone in your body. Okay this was no popsicle stick and paste job. It was elaborate. Almost...(paused with a slight smirk) almost impressive.
Eve: Okay...if you don't think
I put all that stuff in my closet, then why did you try to get rid of it?
(Chris longingly meets her eyes briefly before looking down almost timidly
dare I say it as a silence fills the air. Eve catches on to his sentiment
and she smiles) I know, because you were trying to protect me, right?
Chris: (looks at her sincerely)
I'm sorry I didn't do a better job of disposing of it, you know?
Garcia's got his hands on way too much.
Eve: (she smiles at him and they lock gazes once more) It's the thought that counts, (she smiles wider squeezing his hands) you're still my hero. (Chris laughs lightly as they continue talking to one another)
