UP CLOSE WITH SPIDERS PHOTO GALLERY OXYOPIDAE
Lynx Spiders (Oxyopidae)
The main distinguishing feature of lynx spiders are their rather long legs
armed with many thin, sharp spines. Like jumping spiders, they do not weave webs to trap
insects and are free ranging. They hunt actively during the day in the grass or low bushes and shrubs. Like crab
spiders, they also lie in ambush for prey.
