Everything's gonna be alright
Everything's gonna be alright

Whoever thought the sun would come crashing down.
My life in flames, my tears complete the pain
We fear the end the dark as deep as riverbed.
My book of life incomplete without you here.
Alone I sit I reminisce
Sometimes I miss your touch, your kiss your smile
And meanwhile you know I'll never cry
ëCause deep down inside you know our love will never ever die

Prue Halliwell sat next to the man she loved looking at him as he just lay there.  It looked like he was sleeping but won't wake up.  She listened to the steady beeping of his heart monitor.  The sound almost lured her to sleep.
The doctor said if he didn't wake up soon he could die.  The brain damage that was done to him was too extensive.  Prue prayed everyday for him to wake up.
"Andy," Prue began.  "Why did you come to the manor?  I told you to stay away.  You came in to save me.  Why?  I should be the one laying here not you.  Andy don't leave me,"

Everything's gonna be alright
Everything's gonna be ok
Everything's gonna be alright
Together we can take this one day at a time
Can you take my breath away?
Can you give him life today?
Is everything gonna be ok?
I'll be your strength Ill be here when you wake up

Take your time I'll be here when you wake up

Prue took Andy's hand and just held it.  How she wished he would squeeze her hand back.  She's been there everyday since the accident never leaving his side.  Her sisters began to worry about her because she wasn't coming home.  They kept on insisting for her to come home.  She refused; she wanted to be there when Andy opens his eyes again.
Everybody already knew Andy wasn't going to make it except for Prue.  She knew Andy wouldn't give up and she definitely wouldn't give up on him.

I never thought my heart would miss a single beat
Caress your hand as I watch you while you sleep
So sweet I weep as I search within
To find a cure to bring you back again
And the sun will rise open up your eyes
Surprise just a blink of an eye
I try I try to be positive
You're a fighter so fight! Wake up and live!

Phoebe walked into Andy's room.  She saw Prue sleeping in a chair next to Andy's bed.  Phoebe could tell she was uncomfortable by the way she was positioned.  Her head was on Andy's bed straining her neck.  The chair she was sitting on wasn't padded and it was going to do a number on her back.  She walked silently over to Prue and shook her slightly.
"Prue, honey, come on wake up,"
 "Phoebe?" Prue said sleepily.
"Yeah, come on I'm going to take you home,"
"No, I have to be here when Andy wakes up,"
"Prue you can't stay here, we need you back home,"
"What if Andy wakes up and I won't be here,"
"The hospital will call us if there's any changes but it's not healthy for you to stay here.  Come on, let's go home," Phoebe said pleadingly.
Prue looked at Phoebe then back at Andy.  She didn't want to leave Andy but her sisters might need her.  She looked back at Phoebe and finally agreed.
"Ok I'll go home but I'm going back here first thing tomorrow,"
"I just want you to come home,"
Prue hesitantly got up. Looking back at Andy, she left with Phoebe.
"Don't leave me Andy," Prue whispered.

Everything's gonna be alright
Everything's gonna be ok
Everything's gonna be alright
Together we can take this one day at a time
Can you take my breath away?
Can you give him life today?
Is everything gonna be ok?
I'll be your strength  I'll be here when you wake up

Everything's gonna be alright (I'll wait a lifetime)

When Prue got home all she did was stay in her room not really talking to anybody.  She just walked around like a zombie.  Piper was trying to talk to Prue but all she did was pull away.  Prue lost too much in her life, she wouldn't know what would happen if she lost Andy.
Piper found herself at Prue's door.  She lightly knocked on her door.
"Prue, can I come in?" Piper didn't get an answer so she opened the door slowly.  She found Prue sitting on her bed holding Andy's old varsity jacket.  "Prue?"
"I remember when Andy gave me this.  We were going out for 3 months that day when he stopped in the hallway and put the jacket around my shoulders.  I still remember what he said.  He said, ëNow you're my girl.í" A single tear rolled down Prue's face and landed on the jacket.
"I remember.  Everybody stopped in the hallway and applauded,"  Prue managed to stifle a laugh.
"He's going to wake up, Piper,"
 "Prue I-"
"He's a fighter.  He doesn't give up.  He'll wake up and we'll be together again,"
"Prue you don't know that," Piper tried to say gently as possible.  She didn't want Prue to hold onto something that might not happen.
 "I believe it,"
Prue and Piper just sat there not saying anything when Phoebe came in the room with the phone.
"Prue," Prue looked up at Phoebe.  "It's for youÖ It's the hospital," Prue took the phone with her shaking hand.
 "Hello."
 "Ms. Halliwell,"
 "Yes,"
"This is San Francisco Memorial Hospital, we would like you to came down here concerning the condition of Mr. Andrew Trudeau,"
"Andy?  Wha-whatís wrong?  Is he ok?"
"Please come down here and Dr. Mitchell will talk to you,"
"Ok, I'll be right there," Prue hung up.
"What did they say?" Phoebe asked.
"I got to get to the hospital,"
 "What's wrong?  Is everything ok?"
"They wouldn't tell me.  I gotta go,"
"Weíll come with you,"
"Thanks,"
The drive there was silent.  Prue's mind was running memories of her and Andy when they were little ëtill the time she told him she was a witch.  That's when everything went wrong.  If she never told him, he wouldn't be fighting for his life.
When they got to the hospital Prue literally ran inside to Dr. Mitchell.
"Doctor!" Prue called.
"Prue,"
"What's wrong? Is he ok?"
"Prue, come in my office so we can be in private,"
"No!  I want to know now! What happened?!"
"Prue, I don't know how to say this.  AndyÖ He, he didn't make it.  I'm sorry Prue," The doctor paused for a moment waiting for Prue to respond.  She didn't. She just stood there in shock.  She didn't flinch or move or even blink  "The brain damage was just too severe," He continued.  "His body just couldn't handle it.  We tried everything we could but there was just too much damage.  I'm really sorry Prue.  He tried."  Prue still didn't say anything and the doctor understood.  "I'll leave you alone.  Again I'm sorry,"
"Thank you," Prue managed to say.  She walked back to her sisters with an expressionless face.
"What did he say Prue?" Piper asked.
"He-heís gone," Was all Prue could say.
"Wh-what?"
"He's gone," Prue said again.
Piper and Phoebe's eyes filled with tears as they both hugged Prue.  Prue didn't cry, she couldn't.  It hurt too much to do anything, to even breathe.  All she knew was that Andy was gone and she never got to tell him how much she loved him one more time.  She couldn't help but blame herself for his death.  If she never told him her secret he would still be alive.  Oh how Prue wished she never told him.
*****
Prue sat in her room in her black dress just thinking.  The funeral was in a half an hour and she wasn't ready to go.  She couldn't take seeing his coffin lowering in the ground. That meant he was really gone.  Prue just stared at the wall blankly when Phoebe came into her room.
"Prue, it's time to go,"
"Why does everyone we love die?"
"I don't know honey,"
"Grams, Mom, and now Andy.  I don't think I can handle any more pain,"
"Everything happens for a reason, Prue."
"What reason was this, huh?" She said harshly.  "For my heart to be broken again! Was that the reason?!  Who's next? You? Piper?  Why don't I just die?!"  Prue eyes were filled with tears as she expressed her feelings.
"Prue I didn't mean-"
"No Phoebe I'm sorry," She wiped away her tears.  "I didn't mean to yell at you.  We should go," Phoebe put her arms around Prue's shoulder as they left the manor.

"We are gathered here today not to mourn the lost of our brother, but to celebrate his life.  Andy was a great friend, partner, and man.  He dedicated his life protecting this cityÖ"
Prue listened to the words of the priest as he told the story of his life.  He never mentioned how great a soul Andy was.  Nobody knew Andy the way Prue did.  When the priest was done everyone came to his coffin and paid their respects.  Prue was last. She laid a red rose on his coffin and wiped away a tear.
"Andy, I'm so sorry.  If it weren't for me you'll still be here alive and with me.  I love you Andy," Prue stepped back as his coffin began to lower.  She stayed there and watched the gravediggers throw the dirt on his coffin.  Prue couldn't stand it but she remained strong as they threw the last pile of the dirt.
Everybody already left except for Prue.  She just stood there.  Piper watched Prue unsure of what to do.  She decided to walk up to her.
"Prue, we're going to go now.  Are you coming?"
"I'm going to stay here for a while.  You guys go ahead,"
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah, go ahead," Piper left Prue standing there.  She was so worried about her but she couldn't do anything, not now at least.  She knew she'd be all right eventually.
Prue stared at the ground with the freshly lain dirt.  She looked at the stone with Andy's name:
Andrew Trudeau
1970-1999
Beloved Son
Devoted Friend
She stayed at the cemetery until the sun was setting.  Prue decided to go somewhere where she can collect her thoughts.  She knew where to go but she didn't think she could.  Itíd bring back memories that she didn't want yet, but she still went there anyways.
Prue sat down on the swing where her and Andy shared all their thoughts with each other.  The spot where she told Andy not to come to the manor but he still did.  Prue started swinging the swing and cried quietly.
"I love you Andy," She whispered.

I'd give my life to only see you breathe again
Hand in hand as we walk on the white sands
To hear your voice rejoice as you rise and say
This the day that I wake and pray ok
Today's silence as time just moves on
You can't heat it though, but I'm playing our favorite songs
I miss you much, I wish you'd come back to me
You see I'd wait a lifetime ëcause you're my destiny

You're gone Andy, but I still feel you here.  I can still see your eyes and smile in my dreams.  I thought we were going to be forever.  Ever since we were little kids I had a big crush on you.  When we were in grade school, I'd pray everyday for you to like me more than a friend.  Then finally in high school you asked me out.  We broke up because you were going to college in Portland.  Then we met up again a year ago and fell in love.  Then I told you my secret and you lost your life.  I'm sorry Andy.  I know I'll learn to move on but it hurts too much right now.  I know I'll see you again one day and everything's gonna be alright.

Everything's gonna be alright
Everything's gonna be ok
Everything's gonna be alright
Together we can take this one day at a time
Can you take my breath away?
Can you give him life today?
Is everything gonna be ok?
I'll be your strength I'll be here when you wake up

Everything's gonna be alright
Everything's gonna be alright

The End.
