Elizabeth arrived in the Halliwell manor only a few years earlier but was first introduced to the Halliwellís on August 18, 1983.  In a few short days Elizabeth would be celebrating her eighteenth birthday.  Her presence had allowed the Charmed Ones to remain after the death of Prue and she had become a crucial part of the family.  The Charmed Ones have experienced tough battles and life or death situations but they had never experienced anything like they were about to.

Elizabeth had given the Charmed Ones a way to remain the Power of Three and that didn't make the Source happy.   For years he had been trying to find a way to destroy her and he might just of found a way.  The Source calls Tempus to aid him in his plan to destroy the Charmed Ones for the final time.

The Source "Welcome Tempus."

Tempus "Greetings, Master.  To what do I owe the honor of this audience?"

The Source "Tempus, the Charmed Ones have been a thorn in my side for far too long now.  I thought the death of the oldest sister would have weakened them, but the addition of the fourth sister, the one called Elizabeth, keeps them strong."

Tempus "Where do I fit in?"

The Source "Since the fourth sister was created by temporal manipulation, I cannot think of anyone better suited to go back and take care of this problem."

Tempus "I understand.  What is my target date?"

The Source "August 18, 1983.  Do not fail me."

Tempus "I won't."

With that Tempus disappears and prepares to destroy the Charmed Ones.

Life in the Halliwell manor had changed drastically since Prue died.  Elizabeth had graduated and today was the first day of her Fall Semester at SFU, she had taken some summer classes but today was the day that everyone would be back at school.  Elizabeth was only a few hours away from having another birthday.  She never knew what to think of birthdays.  Her sisters celebrated them from 1983 but she didn't know if she should celebrate them from then or from the day she actually arrived in the manor.  Elizabeth got up and finished getting ready.  She walked into the kitchen like she did most mornings to find her sisters there.

Piper "Morning.  Ready for class today?"

Elizabeth "I think so."

Phoebe "Don't be worried you'll be fine."

Piper "You'll do just great."

Elizabeth "Thanks Piper I appreciateÖ"

All of a sudden Elizabeth feels a sharp pain run through her body.  She doubles over and starts to collapse.  Piper and Phoebe both rush to her side.

Piper "Elizabeth what is it?"

Elizabeth "I donít.. know.. it hurts.. it feels like I'm being.. being torn apart from the inside out."

Phoebe "Hold on you'll be fine."

All of a sudden Elizabeth disappears as if she was never there.  Phoebe looks at Piper.

Phoebe "What just happened?  Where did she go?"

Piper "I don't know.  Something's wrong I can feel it.  We need help.  Leo!"

Phoebe and Piper "Cole! Adam! Leo!"

With that Cole and Leo both shimmer and orb into the manor.

Leo "What's going on?"

Piper "Elizabeth she's gone."

Cole "Who?"

Leo "Who's Elizabeth?"

Phoebe "You know our baby sister."

Piper "Sam and mom's child our half sister, part witch part white lighter."

Leo "You two don't have a sister."

Cole "What are you two talking about?"

Piper "We do have a sister.  Is this some kind of joke?"

Phoebe "Where's Adam"

Cole "Who?"

Leo "What are you two talking about now?"

Piper "Adam is a Guardian and he watches over Elizabeth."

Leo "Guardians are just a myth Piper they don't exist."

Piper "Leo there real and so is our sister.  Now I don't know what is going on but I want you to get your white lighter butt up to the elders and see if they know anything."

Phoebe "And Cole I want you out there finding out anything you can."

Cole and Leo both start to speak.

Piper and Phoebe "GO!"

With that Leo and Cole both give each other puzzled looks and shimmer and orb out of the room.

Piper "Okay it looks like were on our own."

Phoebe "This sounds like someone is messing with time."

Piper "I agree but I don't understand why we remember her and they don't."

Phoebe "Book of Shadows time."

Piper "Lets go."

They rush off to the attic and when they get there they look for anything that could be linked with what happened to Elizabeth.

Phoebe "We're not getting anywhere.  We don't even know exactly what happened."

Piper "Whatever happened seemed to be temporal.  For some reason the guys don't remember her and things are like they would have been if Elizabeth had never come into our lives."

Phoebe "But why do we remember her?"

Piper "I don't know but this seems like something Tempus would do."

Phoebe "But I thought he was weakened after setting back time to save you.  There is no way he could of regained his power that quickly and why would he want to take Elizabeth out now?"

Piper is looking at the book and finds something interesting.

Piper "I think I know why and how."

Piper reads from two pages in the book and the first page is about Tempus.

Piper reads "Tempus is a warlock capable of setting back time to cause havoc in the lives of witches.  If he fails in a certain time his powers are severely weakened and he is unable to adjust time in the temporal plane for a considerable amount of time.  However, if temporal manipulation plays a part in the creation of a witch he can use another temporal plane to eliminate that witch before or during her birth."

Piper reads the next page "When a witch is raised her entire life to use her powers at the age of eighteen her powers will grow considerably.  The only way to prevent the witches power from growing is to eliminate the witch before her eighteenth birthday."

Piper "So it looks like Tempus has arranged it so that Elizabeth was never brought into our lives."

Phoebe "So he did this to prevent her from reaching her eighteenth birthday.  But why are they so scared of her powers growing and why would they go through such pains to use temporal distortion to get rid of her."

Just then Cole and Leo orb and shimmer in.

Piper "Look Phoebe it's the non believers."

Leo "I believe you."

Cole "So do I."

Phoebe "What brought around this change?"

Leo "The elders detected a temporal change.  If your right and this sister of yours did exist somehow time has been altered to erase her existence from everyone but the two of you."

Cole "I found out that the Source had a meeting with Tempus and things are in an uproar down there.  Something is about to happen and it isn't good.  Without the Power of Three the two of you are in great danger.  If this sister of yours is real then we need to find a way to get her back and fix time quick and I do mean quick."

Phoebe "Great no pressure."

Piper "Okay we need to find a way to save her but where do we start?"

Cole "Tempusís powers were weakened in this temporal plane but his powersÖ"

Piper "Yeah, yeah, we know just get to the point."

Cole "He probably altered time at the moment that she was given life."

Piper "Do you mean the day she came into existence or the day she came to us?"

Cole "The day she came into existence."

Leo "When was she ëborní?"

Phoebe "August 18, 1983."

Piper "That was the day that mom and Sam sent Elizabeth to grams then we went back in time to get her and bring her to our time."

Phoebe "She aged the intervening years."

Leo "Now this makes sense."

Piper "What makes sense?"

Leo "She was more or less given life through temporal distortion which apparently made her the best target for a temporal erasure."

Phoebe "A temporal what?"

Cole "Your sister was brought into existence by manipulating time and space.  Because of that it made it possible for Tempus to go back to the exact moment she was brought into the world and make sure she never became known to either of you."

Piper "So he erased her?"

Leo "Correct."

Piper "So how do we get her back?"

Cole "That's where things get tricky.  It's harder to reverse a temporal erasure than it is to halt a temporal loop.  In order to fix the temporal time line to the way it is supposed to be Tempus has to be weakened in the temporal plane that he is manipulating.  That should correct things and return your sisterÖ"

Phoebe "Her name is Elizabeth."

Cole "Okay.. return ëElizabethí to you."

Piper "Any suggestions on how we do that?"

Cole "We need to get the both of you back to when Elizabeth was born.  I can shimmer in and out of planes so I should be able to take all of us there."

Phoebe "How do we weaken him once we get there?"

Leo "There should be a visible temporal distortion once we get there.  If we can trick him into entering the distortion that should weaken him enough to set things right."

Piper "Well we don't have anything to lose."

Phoebe "Lets go save our sister."

Cole "Then everyone hold on."

They all gather together in a hug and Cole shimmers them to the manor on August 18, 1983.  When they appear they see grams."

Grams "Piper.. Phoebe what are you doing here?"

Piper "Grams we have a problem."

Phoebe "On this day you were supposed to receive a child from mom and Sam.  Mom died before the baby was born.  In our past we came here to get her and now a warlock named Tempus has altered time and erased her from existence."

Piper "Just let it all out Phoebes."

Grams "So your telling me that the child Patty was carrying when she died is alive?"

Piper "It's a long story but we have to fix things or the future will never be the same."
Leo "We have to find the temporal distortion and get out of here before we mess up the time line."

Piper "I hate to tell you this honey but it is already messed up."

Phoebe "Really messed up."

Piper "How do you suggest we find the distortion?"

Cole "I can single it out and with a simple blast from Leo and I it should become visible."

Leo "Remember Tempus is going to detect us finding the distortion and he is going to show up.  We have to get him in the distortion."

Cole "That should short circuit the distortion and set things right.  But Elizabeth will still be an infant so you still won't have the Power of Three to vanquish him."

Phoebe "So how do we destroy him?"

Cole "By short circuiting the distortion we should all be sent back to our own time but there is no guarantee on how long it will take Elizabeth to reappear in the present."

Leo "He will be weakened in this time so his powers should have no effect here anymore so we have to weaken him in 2001 in order to assure that this doesn't happen again."

Cole "If he is weakened in both times it should be enough to render him useless to the Source for a very long time."

Piper "So to sum that up we push him into the distortion, which we haven't found yet, then we go back to our own time and try and weaken him and who knows if Elizabeth will be there or not."

Phoebe "How exactly do we weaken him without the Power of Three?"

Leo "I'm not sure."

Piper "Looks like we just go with it."

Phoebe "Lets find this distortion."

Cole closes his eyes and tries finding the distortion and he finds it in the living room.  He looks at Leo and they both throw a blast at the area Cole points out.  As soon as the blasts hit the distortion appears.  A few seconds later Tempus appears.

Tempus "What have you done?!"

Piper "We're setting time back to the way it was meant to be."

Tempus "And how do you plan on doing that?"

Piper "Like this."

Piper freezes him in front of the distortion.

Phoebe "This is for Elizabeth."

Phoebe levitates and kicks Tempus into the distortion.  All of a sudden there is a bright light and they hear Tempus scream.  Time starts to set itself free and Leo and Cole are returned to 2001 but Piper and Phoebe don't go anywhere.

Piper "Why are we still here?"

Phoebe "Where are the guys?"

Grams "It appears as though your not done here or the powers that be would of sent you back like your guy friends."

Piper "Great were stuck here and our ride back is already back."

Phoebe "Now this is a problem."

All of a sudden baby Elizabeth appears in the room.  Grams notices the baby and reads the note along with her.

Grams "Girls you'd better see this."

Piper and Phoebe run over to her and see baby Elizabeth.

Grams "Looks like you girls were right."

Piper "May I?"

Grams "Certainly."

Grams hands Baby Elizabeth to Piper.

Phoebe "What are you doing?"

Piper "I think I just figured out why they didn't send us back with the guys."

Phoebe "Why?"

Piper "Elizabeth never had a past or any pictures of the day she was born.  Now we can give her some type of past."

Phoebe "I see.  I'll go get the Polaroid."

Phoebe runs up to the attic and grabs the camera.

Piper holds baby Elizabeth.

Piper "I love you kiddo."

Grams "She looks like you did when you were a baby Piper."

Phoebe returns with the camera.

Phoebe "She is a beautiful baby."

Piper "To bad she had to grow up so fast."

Phoebe "Maybe we should have found a way to bring her back as a child.  You know we could always change that."

Piper "Phoebe, you know why she was brought back as a teenager."

Phoebe "Yes I do."

Grams takes the camera from Phoebe.

Grams "Get in close girls."

Grams takes a picture of Piper holding Elizabeth with Phoebe standing next to her.  Then Phoebe takes Elizabeth from Piper.

Phoebe "You a cute baby.. yes you are."

Piper "Phoebe we have to do this and get back."

Phoebe "Oh yeah.. lets take the picture."

Grams takes a picture of Phoebe holding her.  Then the girls hand the baby to Grams and they set the camera to take a family photo.

Piper takes the pictures and puts them in her pocket.  Grams hands Elizabeth to Piper one last time.  Piper and Phoebe both kiss her little forehead.

Piper  "You have a great life ahead of you sweetheart."

Phoebe "See you in the future little sis."

Piper puts Elizabeth back in Penny's arms.

Piper "Take care of her until they get here Grams."

Grams "I will, Piper just take care of her in your time and let her know that no matter what we all love her."

Piper "I will."

With that Piper and Phoebe are engulfed in a white light and transported back to the manor in 2001.  They reappear to see Cole go flying by and crashing into a wall.

Leo "Where have you two been?"

Piper "We got held up."

Cole gets up and runs over to them in time to deflect a blast.

Cole "Well Tempus didn't and now he is pissed.  Where's Elizabeth?"

Piper "She's not here yet?"

Cole "This is just great."

Tempus attacks them.  He throws Cole and Leo at the wall.  Then he reaches for Phoebe and Piper.  He throws them against a wall and Piper hits her head hard knocking her out and the blow stuns Phoebe.  Tempus goes after Piper and Phoebe tries to protect her.

Tempus "How sweet trying to protect your sister at the cost of your own life."

Tempus grabs her by the neck and holds her off the ground.  He starts squeezing her neck tighter.

Just as Phoebe starts to feel like she can't hold on any longer a white energy blast knocks Tempus away.  Phoebe looks around to see where it came from but the guys are still down and no one else is around.  Phoebe crawls over to Piper who is still out from the blow to her head.

Phoebe "Come on Piper wake up."

Phoebe shakes her.

Phoebe "PIPER!!"

Still nothing.  Phoebe shakes her harder as she sees Tempus get up from the blast and come towards her.  Before he reaches them Cole and Leo both go after him.

Phoebe "PIPER WAKE UP!!"

Piper groggily opens her eyes and looks at Phoebe.

Piper "What hit me?"

Phoebe "More like what you hit.  I'll explain later now we have big troubles.  Elizabeth hasn't shown up yet and Tempus is still attacking."

Piper "Damn I was hoping that it was just a dream."

Phoebe "No such luck."

Leo "Phoebe get Piper to the attic."

Phoebe helps Piper up because she is dizzy from the blow she took.  Piper is wobbly so Phoebe helps support Piper up the stairs while the guys distract Tempus.  They reach the attic and they go over to the Book of Shadows.

Phoebe is still keeping Piper from falling over while she searches through the book.  Phoebe notices Piper start to fade away.

Phoebe "You stay with me Piper."

Piper "I'll try."

Phoebe "You do that."

Piper "What are you looking for?"

Phoebe "Anything.  Frankly I'm out of ideas."

Just then Tempus comes busting though the door.

Tempus "You can't destroy me witches."

Phoebe "Piper freeze him."

Piper tries to but her head hurts to badly.

Piper "I can't."

Phoebe "Damn it."

Phoebe runs over to Tempus and tries fighting him by levitating.  The pages of the book begin to change.  Piper looks at the spell.  Tempus grabs Phoebe and throws her over by Piper.

Phoebe "This guy doesn't give up.  A hand would be nice."

Piper "We just got one."

Piper shows her the spell.

Phoebe "Yes but we still need the Power of Three."

Tempus heads over to them.

Phoebe "I think we're in trouble."

Piper "You think."

They keep backing away while he keeps walking towards them.

Tempus "You don't have anywhere to run witches.  Your time is up."

Tempus grabs them by there necks and picks them up off the ground like he had done to Phoebe earlier.  All of a sudden there is a blinding bright light and Elizabeth emerges from it.

Elizabeth "I suggest you let go of them."

Tempus "But I got rid of you."

Elizabeth "Yes you did but never underestimate the power of sisterly love."

Elizabeth throws a blast that is a white lighter energy blast and her normal firepower mixed into one powerful blast.  Tempus is thrown across the room and Elizabeth runs over to her sisters.

Phoebe "You're alive."

Elizabeth "Looks like it."

Phoebe and Elizabeth get Piper on her feet and they all go over to the Book of Shadows.

Piper "Lets get rid of him before he gets rid of us."

They all begin to say the spell.

Piper, Phoebe, and Elizabeth "WE USE THIS RHYME
     TO SEND THIS BLIGHT
     BACK TO HIS TIME
     TO SET ALL RIGHT"

They repeat the spell several times and Tempus bursts into flames.  Phoebe and Elizabeth let go of Piper and she starts to fall backwards.  They grab onto her.

Phoebe "Oops."

Elizabeth "I think we should take care of that head of hers."

Elizabeth puts her hand on Pipers head and her hand glows healing Piper's head.  Piper puts her hand to her head.

Phoebe "You healed her."

Elizabeth "So?"

Piper "You've never been able to heal before without Leo."

Elizabeth "I just felt that I could do it and I did it."

Phoebe "And that blast earlier.  That was much stronger than anything you have ever done before."

Piper "Your powers have grown."

Elizabeth "This has been one hell of a day."

Just then the guys come running in.

Cole "Where is he?"

Piper "You're a little to late."

Phoebe "Elizabeth came back blasted him across the room then we got rid of him Charmed Ones style."

Leo "Welcome back Elizabeth."

Elizabeth "Someone care to fill me in on what I missed."

Phoebe "Later."

Piper "Right now Phoebe and I have something we have to do and if you hurry you might be able to make it to a few of your classes."

Elizabeth "Good idea.  I'll see you guys later."

Elizabeth starts to run out of the room then turns around.

Elizabeth "Thanks for returning me to existence."

Piper "Any time kiddo."

Elizabeth runs off to try and get to class.

Piper "This has been a long day."

Phoebe "And its not even noon yet."

Piper "Don't remind me.  We'd better get to the kitchen and make her birthday cake before she gets back."

Phoebe "Wait we didn't get her a present."

Piper pulls the pictures from her pocket.

Piper "Yes we did."

Phoebe smiles at her.  Piper and Phoebe walk out of the room and grab Leo and Cole by the shirts and drag them along.

Piper "Come on guys we have work to do."

They spend the rest of the afternoon preparing a surprise party for Elizabeth.  Elizabeth comes in from classes to find the manor quiet and dark.  She walks in and they throw the lights on.

Leo, Cole, Piper, and Phoebe "SURPRISE!"

Elizabeth smiles at them and they each hug her and wish her a happy birthday.  Cole hands her a box.

Elizabeth "Phoebe you're going to have to tell your man that he doesn't have to buy things for me on every occasion."

Phoebe "What can I say I have a loving man."

They both laugh.

Elizabeth opens the box to find a cell phone.

Cole "It's about time your sisters be able to get a hold of you when a crisis hits."

Elizabeth "Thank you Cole I love it."

Leo hands Elizabeth a wrapped object.

Leo "It's not much but I hope you like it."

Elizabeth opens the package to find a picture frame with a picture with Leo, Adam, Cole, Piper, Phoebe, and Elizabeth standing in front of the P3 sign.

Elizabeth hugs Leo.

Elizabeth "I love it Leo thank you so much."

Leo "Your welcome."

Just then Adam orbs in.

Adam "Rumor has it a certain girlfriend of mine is having a birthday today."

Elizabeth walks over to him.

Elizabeth "That's right."

Adam "Then we are just going to have to do something about that."

Adam pulls Elizabeth into a passionate kiss.  Piper and Phoebe both smile while the guys turn there heads and look away.

Adam looks at her and smiles after he gets done kissing her.  He holds out his hand and orbs in a jewelry box.

Adam "It's not much but I saw it and thought you would like it."

Elizabeth opens the box to see a necklace with a tear drop crystal on it.

Elizabeth "Its so beautiful Adam."

Adam "It's made from the rain of a crystallized cloud."

Elizabeth kisses Adam.   A few minutes later Leo and Adam both get summoned away.
Leo "Duty calls."

Adam "Got to go as well."

Both guys orb out.  Cole looks around and decides to give the girls some time alone.

Cole "I think I'm going to go and see what I can find out about The Sources future plans."

Phoebe kisses Cole.

Phoebe silently says "Thank you."

Cole "Anytime."

With that Cole shimmers out.

Piper, Phoebe, and Elizabeth sit on the couch with Elizabeth in the middle.

Piper "Phoebe and I had trouble figuring out what to get you."

Phoebe "Then you were taken from us and it suddenly hit us."

Piper "When we were back in 1983 I was holding you in my arms and I remembered the one thing that you always wanted and even though we can't give it to you we can give you a piece of it."

Piper pulls an envelope out of her pocket and hands it to Elizabeth.  Elizabeth opens the envelope and looks through the pictures of her as a baby with grams, Piper, and Phoebe holding her.

Phoebe "We hope you like it."

Elizabeth "This means more to me than any other gift I could ever receive."

Piper "It is just a small piece of your past but it is of your beginning and that day changed all of our life's forever.  You gave all of our lives a new meaning."

Phoebe "You were a miracle.  Who knows where Piper and I would be today without you."

Piper "We lost you this morning and that was the scariest thing that has ever happened to any of us.  For a while there I was beginning to wonder if we would ever see you again."

Phoebe "We thought we had lost you forever."

Piper "But now your back and your powers have grown and I think that our love as sisters has also grown.  All the Source did by taking you from us was succeed in making us stronger."

Phoebe "The Charmed Ones are stronger than ever."

Elizabeth "Evil beware."

Piper "United we stand as witches and sisters through thick and thin.  Evil should learn that you can't make sisters forget about one another just by taking them out of site.  As long as we are together anything is possible."

The three sisters sat there talking and looking at the pictures.  Piper looked at Elizabeth and remembered how she felt when she held Elizabeth in her arms.  Piper knew that the pictures were only of Elizabeth's beginning but everything has a beginning and this beginning gave birth to her baby sister.  Piper put her arms around Elizabeth and gave her a hug and Phoebe joined in.  The day had began with them almost losing her and now they had her back and they just felt the need to hold on to her.  There fight was far from over but right now they had each other and that was all that mattered to them.
