PERSONAL DATA

Following the break up of her marriage to Victor Bennett in the mid 1970's, Patty Halliwell began a romance with Sam Wilder, her white-lighter, even though such romances were forbidden.  The two of hem managed to stay together in secret and no one was any the wiser.

In January of 1978, Patty discovered she was pregnant, but kept it a secret from Sam.  She realized that telling Sam also meant telling Penny and everyone else, so Patty put it off as long as she could.  She  Placed the doctor's notice of her pregnancy in a shoe box, along with some of her love letters from Sam, and hid them in her room at Halliwell Manor, under a floorboard.  However, as time passed, Patty realized that she would have to tell Sam the truth, but tragedy would intervene and she never got the chance.

On February 28, 1978, Patty and her friend, Jessica Llewell , battled a Warlock called Jacob and his ally, a Water Demon, at Camp Skylark, the main reason being that there was a group of children there on a school field trip.  One of the children in question being Patty's oldest daughter, Prudence.  While Jessica successfully drove Jacob away, the Water Demon murdered Patty by drowning her.  Her unborn child thus died with her.

Sam was so grief stricken at Patty's death that he clipped his wings  and became an ordinary mortal.

In the fall of 1999, Patty's daughters, Prudence, Piper, and Phoebe, met Sam when they themselves fought the same Water Demon.  Although they were successful in vanquishing the Water Demon, they did it at the acrifice of Sam.  As his mortal body died, Sam's spirit left and was inally reunited with Patty, his lost love.

Some months later, Phoebe was cleaning Piper's room, which used to be Patty's room, and stumbled upon the box containing the doctor's notice of Patty's pregnancy.  Astonished, Phoebe informed Piper and Prue of his event.  The three of them were wondering what to do next, when Patty's spirit appeared before them.  Patty explained that she had been watching when Phoebe discovered the truth about the unborn child.  So while Patty went to see the Charmed Ones, Sam went to the Council of White Lighters and asked that the child been allowed to exist.  The Council agreed, and the new baby girl came into existence on August 18, 1983, where it where it was discovered by Penny Halliwell, a note was included with the baby, which explained who she was and where she came from.

Having been given a spell by Patty to take them back to 1983, the adult Charmed Ones took possession of their new sister and returned to the present.  A side effect of the spell was that Elizabeth instantly aged the intervening years and arrived back in the present as a teenage  girl, with all the mannerisms of someone that age. At that point, Leo soon arrived and explained that he had gotten a full report about Elizabeth from the Council of White-Lighters.  Leo had also brought a ring with him, in which he explain that the Council had said it was for  Elizabeth, but they did not give any further details.  Soon they all were urged up to the attic, where a new entry was in the Book of Shadows, that explained Elizabeth's powers.

Soon after, Jessica Llewell, returned to Halliwell Manor and said she was keeping an eye on Elizabeth.  The next day, Phoebe took Elizabeth down to Baker High, the Halliwell's old high school, and enrolled her for the fall semester.

Elizabeth was involved in the wedding of Rex Buckland and Hannah  Webster as a bridesmaid.  During the preparation, she picked up Rex and Hannah's daughter, Little Phoebe.  Much to her amazement, the ring the white-lighters had sent her, began to glow once Little Phoebe touched it.  Clearly this indicated some kind of connection, but no one had any idea what it was.

Despite the love her sisters felt for her, there were times Elizabeth felt that she didn't quite belong in Halliwell Manor.

Soon after, Jacob, the Warlock that was allied with the Water Demon  that killed Patty, returned.  He was out to kill the Charmed Ones, and one day, while Elizabeth was alone at P3, Jacob struck, severely injuring her.  A vision experienced by Phoebe alerted the others to what was happening, and she, Prue, Piper, and Jessica headed for P3, but got there just as Jacob was leaving.   Jessica's healing powers pulled Elizabeth back from the brink of death, but the magic Jacob used had been powerful, and Elizabeth slipped into a coma, and she was taken to he hospital.  Elizabeth then had a near death experience, where she encountered the spirits of her parents, Sam Wilder and Patty Halliwell, and her grandmother, Penny Halliwell, and got the full story of the ring Leo had given her.  The ring had once belonged to Melinda Warren, the first witch of the Warren-Halliwell line, she had made it the day her daughter, Prudence was born, and wore it from then on. The love Melinda felt for her daughter was absorbed into the ring and stored there, growing stronger as the years passed. One day, Melinda was contacted by the Council of White-Lighters and told to bury the ring in the woods near Salem, when Melinda asked why, they explained that its powers  would one day be needed.  Melinda obeyed, and the ring stayed buried for over three hundred years until Leo, acting under the direction of the Council, retrieved it and gave it to Elizabeth the day she first arrived as a teenager in Halliwell Manor.  Love is what powered the ring, which is why it glowed when Little Phoebe, a child conceived out of love, born on the day of love and purity, Christmas Day, touched it.  Penny added by saying that the power of love, conducted through the ring was the answer to defeat Jacob.  Soon after, a teardrop from Phoebe, crying over Elizabeth's condition, hit the ring and the powers of love brought Elizabeth out of her coma, where she told everyone she had the answer. Elizabeth, accompanied by Prue, Piper, Phoebe, Jessica, Leo, Rex, Hannah, and Little Phoebe, confronted Jacob at Camp Skylark. There they used the power of love, which was conducted through Elizabeth's ring, as a weapon.  Elizabeth's love for her new family, that fact that she now realized they had accepted her without question, was her contribution. This love, combined with the power of love flowing from the others, worked, and Jacob was vanquished once and for all.

As of now, Elizabeth is happily living in Halliwell Manor with her three older sisters, adjusting to life as both a teenager and a witch.
