 It had been a year since Faith left the states to go to Greece and have a little fun, but now she was back, in the Bay Area of San Francisco.  She walked by a dark alley and happened to glance down it, and saw a man and woman fighting, all of a sudden, the man pulled out a dagger and was about to impale the woman, but he stopped all of a sudden, and the woman pulled out something from her pocket and said something in rhyme, and the man screamed in pain and turned to ashes.  Faith's eyes widened at seeing this.  The woman looked up to the sky and said "Leo" and blue lights appeared and when they cleared, a man was standing there, he hugged the woman, and they left the way the man came.  Faith, curious, ran down the alley to check things out.  She noticed the dagger lying there and took it.  It was a beautiful object.  A shiny silver blade, and intricate designs on the handle, the handle was also encrusted with small rubies, emeralds, and sapphires.  Faith hid the dagger in her purse and left the alley.  As she walked towards a café, she wondered who the woman was, how and why she did that to that man, and how that other man traveled in blue lights, she didn't know much, but she knew one thing, the light man's name is Leo, it has to be, she thought, the woman said that name and he appeared, so that's his name, it must be.  "If I can find him or that woman, I can get some answers." Faith said aloud.  Faith finished her coffee and left a tip on her table and went to China Town.
She walked by a shop and saw the woman and man from the alley in it talking to another woman, and she decided to go talk to them.  Faith opened the door and casually walked over to them and pulled out the dagger.  The woman from the alley threw her hands up at Faith and time stopped.  "She has the athame the demon I just vanquished had." The woman said.  "Piper, unfreeze her, please, before someone comes in and sees." Leo said.  Piper waved her hand and Faith unfroze.  "I think you dropped this." Faith said, and handed it to Piper.  Piper took the dagger and put it in her purse.  "I'm Faith.  I saw what you did in that alley, pretty cool, how did you do it?" Faith said.  "I'm Piper, I did it because I'm a witch, a good witch, and all I did was vanquish an evil demon, now, if you don't mindÖ" Piper said worriedly, about to push past Faith to leave.  Faith backed up a step.  "Hey, it's all cool, I know all about that stuff, in fact, I'm a slayer, a vampire slayer." Faith said.  "Really?  How nice for you.  Now, if you'll please excuse me, I have to go home." Piper said a little annoyed that she'd been seen.  "Can I come?" Faith asked hopefully.  "What?!" Piper asked.  "Can I join you?" Faith repeated.  "Well, I don't see why notÖ" Piper stared at Faith for a minute like she was crazy, then scoffed at her and left.  Leo looked at Faith sympathetically then went out of the shop to join Piper.  Faith walked out of the shop and got into the jeep with Piper and Leo.  "What the!  Who do you think you are?!  Get out of the car, psycho!" Piper yelled.  "Alright, if you don't get out, I'll roast you!" Piper said.  Faith's eyes widened.  "You can't do thatÖ  Can she?" Faith asked and looked at Leo.
He returned the look by nodding his head and smiling.  "She used to only be able to freeze time, now she can blow things up too." Leo told her.  Faith was impressed.  "Please, can I come home with you?  I really like you." Faith pleaded.  "Umm, let me think, how about, NO!  Now get out!" Piper said with rage.  "Fine, I'll just catch you later." Faith said and got out of the jeep and slammed the door on purpose.  "Excuse you!" Piper yelled at her and started the jeep.  Phoebe stood in the kitchen making a potion for fun, she wasn't sure what it would do though, and she was just taking a pinch of this and a handful of that and throwing it in the pot to cook.  She thought she had enough things in the potion and poured it into a jar to cool.  She taped a piece of paper on it and wrote ëPhoebeís Mystery Potioní.  She grinned at it and set it aside and cleaned up her mess.  Five minutes later after cleaning up completely, Piper and Leo walked in and set down some bags on the kitchen table and started to unload the bags.  Piper noticed the jar with black liquid in it and read the label on it.  "Phoebe's mystery potion." Piper said aloud.  Leo walked over to Piper and looked at the mystery liquid.
Phoebe heard her from the next room and walked into the kitchen.  "Hey guys, what are you doing?" Phoebe asked as she saw Piper looking at her potion.  "Putting stuff away, would you mind helping?" Piper said after minute and set the jar down.  "Not at all, sis." Phoebe said and started to help.  All of a sudden the doorbell rang, and Piper went to answer.  She opened the door and there stood Faith.  "You again?!" Piper said, annoyed.  Piper stared at her for a minute, getting frustrated.  "Go away!" Piper said and slammed the door in her face.  Faith opened the door as Piper turned around and walked in like she owned the place.  "What the?!  What do you think you are doing?!" Piper screamed at her.  "Get out and go away!  You annoying little pest!" Piper said with anger and turned Faith around and walked her out of the manor and slammed the door and locked it.  Piper got into the kitchen and heard glass shatter.  She ran to the front door and it was wide open.  She turned around and Faith was right in her face.  "You don't like me very much, do you?" Faith asked.  "Not really!" Piper answered challengingly and stepped back to get Faith out of her face.
Phoebe and Leo walked into the entrance of the house and saw the tension between them.  Faith looked at Phoebe.  "Hello, umm, I'm Phoebe." Phoebe said, and stepped forward.  "Faith." Faith said, and turned her gaze back to Piper.  "Just who do you think you are breaking into our house, I ought to call the police on you.  You know what, I think I will, Phoebe, go get me the phone please." Piper said.  "I just wanted to talk to you is all, you don't have to get mean." Faith said.  Phoebe didn't budge.  Faith pushed by Piper and headed for the door to leave.  "Wait, don't go, Piper's just in a bad mood." Phoebe apologized and pulled Faith back from the door and took her to the kitchen.  Piper rolled her eyes in frustration and followed them.  "So, are you a witch too?" Faith asked, interested.  "Yep, I sure am, I'm Piper's sister, we have another sister too, but she's at work right now, her name is Paige.  Have you ever heard of the charmed ones?" Phoebe asked.  "No, I don't think so." Faith said.  "The charmed ones are three powerful sister witches who protect the innocent and fight all kinds of evil.  Piper, Paige, and me are the charmed ones.  Pretty cool, huh?" Phoebe said.  "Yeah, what's this?" Faith said and picked up Phoebe's mystery potion.  "Oh, ha, I just made that, playing around you know.  The mystery is I don't know what exactly it does, but I do know it does something.  Please don't drop it, Faith, all the potions we've ever made have exploded when they are dropped or thrown." Phoebe explained.  "I will." Faith said, and smiled at Phoebe.
Faith unscrewed the lid to smell of it and a black mist came out and entered her nostrils.  She quickly put the lid back on due to the smell.  "Ewww!  That wreaks something terrible!" Faith said, laughing, and set it down.  All of a sudden Faith began to feel a little lightheaded.  "Oh man, I don't feel so good all of a sudden, what is in that potion?" Faith asked.  "Just a little bit of this and that." Phoebe answered.  "Great, Phoebe, what have you done?!" Piper shouted at her.  Phoebe was shocked by Piper's attitude towards her.  She treated her just how Prue would.  "I just threw stuff in the pot and cooked it and put the liquid in the jar to cool, I didn't know what it would do.  I'm sorry, Piper." Phoebe explained.  Piper realized she was acting as cold as Prue, and lightened up a little.  "It's okay, Phoebe, just don't make anymore potions that you don't know the use for." Piper said.  "And I'm sorry for being so harsh, I just don't feel like having company." Piper apologized.  Faith began to turn dark, darker, darker, until she was almost completely black.  Her hair faded to pure black, her clothes dimmed to black, and her complexion went from well tanned to almost black.  "Great, you turned her into a freak." Piper said.
Faith closed her eyes and opened them to reveal they had gone completely black as though she had none.  "I'm no longer Faith, the slayer!" Faith declared.  I'm an extinct breed of demon, thanks to you, Phoebe!  I am a Shadbahs!" She declared, and turned to black smoke and disappeared.  Piper looked at Phoebe in disbelief.  "Congratulations, Phoebe, you just created a WHOLE new breed of demon, the shadbahsí!" Piper shouted, very aggravated.  "If you are going to treat me like Prue, you can fix this problem all by yourself, you're the one who brought her here!" Phoebe screamed at her and left the kitchen.  Piper looked at Leo funny, and went after her.  "Phoebe.  I'm sorry for blowing up at you, it's just that I don't like her and you gave her a reason to stay in our hands a little bit longer by making her feel welcome.  And, what did you mean by I brought her here?" Piper apologized and asked.  "She climbed under the jeep and held on." Phoebe said.  When Piper heard this, she got even more mad at Faith.  "We need to find her-" Piper started, but Leo walked into the room and cut her off.
"Ah, actually, sweetie, Shadbahs are not a new breed of demon, they were extinct for two hundred and fifty years, the last one ever known to exist was killed by a distant relative of Melinda Warren's, she was you, Phoebe, you were the one to kill the last of them, in a past life, that is probably how you knew to make one, or vanquish it, rather, the potion you used to vanquish it could also make one if it were used on a mortal, that's probably what you made from a distant memory is the vanquishing potion for a Shadbahs." Leo explained.  "So in a past life, I made a potion to wipe out a breed of demon, and in this one I brought the breed back?" Phoebe asked.  "Right." Leo said.  "Okay, how do I destroy it without killing Faith?  Or is it even possible?" Phoebe asked.  "UmmmÖ  It's not possible, she's not like a new banshee or fury that can be saved before they make their first kill, she's full blown demon, she can't be saved.  I'm sorry Phoebe." Leo said.  "Okay, so I just find her and throw my potion on her.  Simple enough, or is there a catch?" Phoebe asked.  "Yes, there is!" Faith said, and jumped out of the shadows.  Phoebe and Piper screamed, and Piper threw up her hands and time froze.
"Phoebe, go get your potion, now!" Piper screamed.  Phoebe ran to the kitchen, grabbed the jar, and ran back to the living room.  "Hurry Phoebe!  Throw it on her!" Piper said.  Phoebe struggled with the lid until it finally popped off and flew across the room and hit Faith on the forehead.  Time unfroze, and Faith saw Phoebe holding the potion and jumped into a close shadow and was gone.  "What just happened?" Leo asked, confused.  "Phoebe just let the demon get away." Piper said, and smiled at Leo, and left the room.  "I'm MOVING out!" Phoebe screamed at Piper and ran upstairs to pack her things.  Hours later, Piper sat up in the attic trying to sort everything out.  She wasn't about to talk to Phoebe because she was still upset with her and knew she'd just say go away.  Downstairs, Leo was talking to Phoebe.  "I'm sorry Leo, I don't belong here anymore, I don't feel welcome, she's treating me like Prue would, I can't handle it, she makes me feel like everything is my fault, and it's not." Phoebe said, and started to cry again.  "She doesn't mean it, she's really very sorry." Leo said.  "Then why doesn't she come talk to me?!" Phoebe said through her tears.  Leo hung his head and walked out of her room and went to the attic.  "Piper?  You still up here?" Leo asked.  "What am I going to do, Leo?  I'm acting like Prue towards Phoebe and I don't know why, and now I've drove my sister who I love very much away." Piper said, and started to cry.  "I'm so mad at myself." Piper said through her tears and hung her head.  "Maybe you should go talk to her." Leo suggested.  "She doesn't want to talk to me." Piper said.  "Yes, Piper, she does." Leo said.  "Really?" Piper asked.  Leo nodded and smiled.  "You better not be lying." Piper said as she wiped away her tears and left the attic to go to Phoebe's room.
Piper walked to Phoebe's door and heard her crying softly.  Paige walked upstairs and saw Piper's tear-stained face and heard Phoebe crying.  Piper held up her index finger and put it to her lips to gesture that Paige not say anything.  Paige understood and nodded her head and went to her room.  Piper walked in Phoebe's room.  "Phoebe?" Piper said gently.  "What?" Phoebe asked through her tears.  "Can you forgive me?  Please?" Piper asked sincerely.  "Why are you treating me this way?" Phoebe asked.  "You make me feel like everything is my fault.  Just like Prue would." Phoebe said.  "I know I am acting like Prue, but I honestly don't mean to, I don't know why I'm being this way.  I really truly am sorry, Phoebe.  Please forgive me." Piper said.  "I'll forgive you, only if you promise not to do it again, because if you do, I'm leaving for good and cutting all ties with you." Phoebe warned.  "Deal, and you won't have to do that because I am not going to treat you that way anymore, and even if I do, you shouldn't get upset, you know I love you very much and don't mean it." Piper said.  "Sometimes I wonder if you want me here at all, just like I wondered if Prue did." Phoebe said.  Paige appeared in the doorway.  "Sisterly squabble, huh?" Paige asked.  "Yes, but it's okay now, I think." Phoebe said.  Piper looked at Phoebe and smiled then looked at Paige.  "Did you just get in?" Piper asked Paige.  "Yeah, I just got back from a date.  Man was it fun." Paige answered.  "Probably was compared to what we were doing today." Piper said, and then chuckled.  "What HAVE you been doing?  It's a mess downstairs, like a tornado came through or something." Paige asked.  "What?!" Piper and Phoebe asked at the same time, shocked.  Piper ran out of Phoebe's room to go downstairs and Phoebe wiped her eyes then followed Piper and Paige followed Phoebe.  Piper stopped at the bottom of the stairs, and Phoebe stopped beside her.  "What theÖ!" Piper said loudly, shocked at the condition of the first floor.
Faith jumped out of the shadow of the overturned couch and smiled evilly and threw a ball of darkness at Paige.  "Piper, freeze that ball!" Phoebe yelled, and Piper threw up her hands in panic.  "You don't have to yell." Piper said to Phoebe.  "Sorry, but if that ball hits Paige, she becomes what Faith is." Phoebe explained.  "Okay, where's the potion." Piper said, and looked around for it.  "Is this it?" Paige asked, and picked up a jar filled halfway with black liquid.  "Yes, great!" Phoebe said, and unscrewed the lid.  She walked over to Faith ready to throw the potion on her, but paused for a moment.  "I now vanquish the demon I made, and command that the person she was is saved." Phoebe said and threw the potion on Faith and stepped back as time unfroze.  "I now vanquish the demon I made, and command that the person she was is saved!" Phoebe repeated, louder this time.  Faith screamed in pain and doubled over, then fell to the floor.  "It won't work, Leo said she can't be saved, let her go Phoebe." Piper said.  "No.  Say it with me.  Let's make a circle around her and say it." Phoebe said.  Piper, Phoebe and Paige stood in a circle around Faith and joined hands.  "Repeat after me. We now vanquish the demon we made, and command that the person she was is saved." Phoebe said.  "We now vanquish the demon we made, and command that the person she was is saved." All three of them said.  White lights surrounded Faith and then entered her pitch-black body and she glowed bright white, then the light dimmed and Faith laid there, looking like Faith again.  "What happened?" Faith asked, and got up.  "You were turned into a demon by Phoebe's little potion, and destroyed this part of the house, and we just saved you.  Now please leave." Piper said.
"Rude!" Faith yelled at Piper.  "Faith, we really must ask you to go and never breathe a word of this to anyone, and never come back." Phoebe said.  "Boy, your sister must have brain washed you while I was a demon to make you tell me that.  How about this, we fight, and the winner decides what I do." Faith said.  "That's not an option, Faith." Paige said and stepped forward challengingly, and Piper and Phoebe did the same.  "Leave, or die." Piper said.  "Are you THREATENING me?" Faith asked, taken back by what Piper said.  "Yes, we are, even though you don't look evil, we sense it in you.  My potion just unlocked it completely and turned your outward appearance as dark as your inside appearance is, making you a type of demon that is extinct." Phoebe answered.  "You're not welcome anymore, please leave, and never return, and never breathe a word if this to anyone, do you understand?" Phoebe said.  "Yeah, I understand, I understand completely." Faith said, and pushed past Phoebe angrily and didn't look back.  "Time for amends, time for the memory to end, erase what was experienced, let it go unknown, let our secret go untold, no longer about us may she know." Phoebe said.  Faith walked out into the street and paused for a minute, looked back, looked really confused, and turned back away and left.  "Man I'm glad that's over!" Piper said, and went upstairs to get ready to go to P3.  "Oooh!  The sun is going down, it's clubbing time!" Phoebe said and ran upstairs to get ready, followed by Paige.  An hour later everyone was ready to go, and they locked the door behind them.  At P3, chaos was high, two fights broke out, and some of the employees were having a clumsy day.  Piper was about ready to scream if another thing went wrong, and it did.  Faith walked into the club and spotted Piper, Phoebe, and Paige, and they saw her too.  She started to walk over to them, but someone cut her off and started to talk to her.  Piper let out a sigh of relief when she realized Faith found an old friend of hers and wasn't coming over.  Piper got up and went to her back office to do a little work.
Thirty minutes later there was a knock at the door.  "Come in." Piper said.  The door opened and Leo walked in.  "What are you doing?" Leo asked.  "Work." Piper answered and looked up.  "Can you take a break." Leo asked.  "Maybe, that depends on what the break is for." Piper answered.  "To spend time with me out on the dance floor." Leo said.  "Well, in that case, I sure can." Piper replied and smiled at him.  She got up and walked over to him.  Leo stared into her eyes and kissed her softly.  After the kiss she smiled at Leo lovingly, and they left her office to go dance some and have a drink.
